Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2006 Mr. Teen-stache and rookie of the year Adam Morrison is having a good game against the Spurs. Give him 2 more years and he can be the next Larry Bird. He'll probably never be the rebounder or passer that Bird was. How about the next Kiki Vandeweghe? Guest Report post Posted November 16, 2006 "They are a very talented young team by the way, and I think they are the most talented team out there to be honest with you because they have two stars on their team, and got a very good young player in Andrew Bynum, and they're big, if they can learn to defend a little bit better they are gonna be very very difficult team to beat in the playoffs...." Lolz. I don't see what's so 'Lolz' about that, but hey, you're the Lakers fan.... That's the part I was laughing about.

Lolz. I don't see what's so 'Lolz' about that, but hey, you're the Lakers fan.... That's the part I was laughing about. It's a bit of a stretch, but I can see it... Kobe is arguably the most talented player in the world. Odom has an insane skillset for someone with his size, he can do everything, a triple double threat every night, not too many guys like him out there. Bynum is what, 19, he's got a chance to be an all-time great center. Kwame Brown obviously possesses a lot of talent. Walton, Farmar, Radmanovich, Parker, Turiaf, Evans. The talent isn't in question, it's the maturity of the players and Kobe's ability to strike the right balance with his teammates. And defense, like West said.... Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2006 I know its about a day late, but FUCK Michael Redd and that horrible foul call that cost the Hawks that last game. And he now has the record for the most steps without a travel call. Last year Shawn Marion pasted Amare stoudimire by taking 5 steps on a fast break without getting called. Last Michael Redd took 6 steps without the travel called. I think he set a unbeatable bar.

I saw a game a few years back, I think it was Lakers vs. Spurs. Kobe took 3 steps and jumped without getting rid of the ball. Of course, afterwards, he jumped again for a layup and nothing was called.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2006 http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=An5e...p&type=lgns To summarize for those who don't want to read it all, some guy was shot in the neck over an Iverson jersey three years ago, leaving him a quadriplegic. He eventually required life support, and was taken off of it and died Tuesday. Iverson is paying for his funeral. SEATTLE (AP) -- Allen Iverson will pay for the funeral of a man who died three years after he was shot in southwest Philadelphia because he refused to hand over his Iverson jersey to a group of teens. Iverson says he's tired of reading about murders in Philadelphia, and wanted to do something. "I don't think one guy can do what needs to be done, but I think one guy can help," Iverson said before Wednesday night's game in Seattle. "I think it's going to take a collective effort. and there is a lot of good people trying to help the situation in Philadelphia." Kevin Johnson died Tuesday morning after his family chose to take him off life support. He was 22. On June 24, 2003, a group of teens approached Johnson while he was waiting for a trolley and demanded he give up the Iverson jersey he was wearing. When he refused, Johnson was shot in the back of the neck by Robert Ferguson, who is serving a prison sentence on attempted murder charges. The shooting left Johnson paralyzed, in a wheelchair and eventually on a ventilator. Last week, the ventilator failed, and Johnson suffered irreparable brain damage. The family chose to take him off it. "It was time for Kevin to go home," Johnson's mother, Janice Jackson-Burke told the Philadelphia Daily News. Johnson's funeral is set for next Wednesday, with the expenses covered by Iverson. The seven-time All-Star contacted the hospital and spoke with Jackson-Burke. She told Iverson how much her son adored Iverson's play and how much he loved the Sixers. "If they were that serious about that jersey I would have given them 100 jerseys if they wanted it," Iverson said. "It was just tough, just to see somebody die for something senseless like that, over a jersey, over something material." After he was left a quadriplegic, Johnson and his mother spoke at schools and rallies in the Philadelphia area about staying away from guns. He'll be buried in an Iverson jersey. The family asked Iverson to attend the service, but the Sixers play that night in Milwaukee. Iverson said he talked to the family about not wanting to disrespect them, or for them to believe his offer was simply for publicity. "I felt like I have got to do something more than what I have been doing to help this situation as much as I can," Iverson said. "If I can reach one person and take one death away, I think I can do something."
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 Pacers drop their third in a row against the Nets, but Stephen Jackson is slowly losing minutes to Marquis Daniels, which is a great sign.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 And the suns are getting there. The improved defensive play of Barbosa and the absolutely non sop defensive motor of Banks is pretty cool. The back up Small Forwards/Powerforward position is still something to be desired. James jones has been playing like ass since a nice start to last season, Jumaine Jones is still hurt and played like ass when he did play. I still say throw Pike out there Even Sean Marks. The rotation of Amare, Kurt Thomas, Boris Diaw, Shawn Marion, Jalen Rose, Marcus Banks, Barbosa, Raja Bell and Steve Nash is starting to mesh well though. And its a REAL 9 man rotation, unlike the 6 man rotation that D'antoni usually runs.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Pacers win in Milwaukee 102-100 after trailing by as many as 17. O'Neal had 20/12 and 8 blocks. And Daniels started instead of Jackson.

Just John 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 The Rockets need to hold a team meeting and inform the players that, per NBA rules, there are FOUR (4) quarters in a regulation game, not THREE (3) like many of the players seem to think.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Clippers beat 76ers 103-97 in OT to go 6-2 Looks like the Clipper strategy is to stink in the first half and turn it on in the second, that is how they have won their six games at home. They better stop before it bites them in the ass. By the way, the Pacific Division is going to be a damn war.
