NFL Week 11

Thank you Cowboys, for ending the unbeaten talk. Indy was the worst 9-0 team in history, squeaking out win over win. They could easily be 6-3 or worse. They were who we thought they were! Or something...

Like it matters if Indy went 16-0 anyway. They have been the regular season champs for the past three or four years, only to lose in the playoffs. Regardless of them going 16-0 or not, I still think there would be plenty of people left not expecting them to make it the superbowl.

I'm not too irate over that loss to Dallas. The only thing that looked bad was the defense, which has STUNK all year. No injuries unlike some other teams, so that's good. I just can't believe the Colts didn't test the Cowboys deep more than they did.

Indy needs to go to a stockyard in the offseason and pick up the most enormous immobile walrus of a nose tackle they can find. Just a gigantic bowling ball of a man with a center of gravity 2 feet off the ground and legs as thick as treetrunks. Team speed on defense is great and all, but they need a mammoth to shore up the middle of that line. Plus Ohio State is probably going to gradute 14 linebackers or something. Grab one of them, too.

I'm glad that Chad Johnson has backed up all that bitching he was doing a couple weeks ago with two straight major games.

Too bad other loud mouths out there never follow up.

Hopefully the Colts loss exposed them and they lose about 2 more so the Ravens (and sadly Broncos/Chargers) have an outside shot at the Homefield Advantage.

Don't get your hopes up. Philadelphia just became an easy game, and they can still handle Tennessee and Houston. They're at home against Miami still, with their only tough test on paper being @JAX, who doesn't particularly scare me this season.

Lions once again hit a new low with a loss to the Cardinals. They managed to do the impossible, make Arizona's O-Line look good. Kevin Jones left the game with some type of ankle injury, Josh McCown made an appearance at WR, and to make matters worse, Joey Harrington's going back to his old stomping grounds on Thanksgiving to throw more dirt on the Lions grave. And to think, some experts actually had Detroit in the playoffs or at least contending for it.

The Colts/Cowboys outcome was lose-lose no matter who won as far as the rest of the country was concerned. Couldn't a team that wasn't Dallas have beaten Indianapolis instead? Sports media is going to be unwatchable all week, or until Dallas reminds everyone that they aren't very good.

And yet you'll still watch it. Like you always do.

*game-tying touchdown*

Parcells: "Oh, wait, I want to challenge that last play!

ref: "...OK, that score doesn't count!"

In any event, though, I kind of had a feeling that this would be the week it finally came apart. So, congrats, and stuff, Dallas.

Exactly. The media is incapable of labeling Dallas as an average to above average team, and the win today will give them enough fuel for the next week to run with the Dallas hype, especially since Philly just became a playoff observer, and the Giants are so beat up that they might soon join that club.

Nope. Professional sports coverage is usually insufferable anyway. There's a reason I favor the college game.
