Plummer was sacked and fumbled the ball with about 15 seconds left. It was eventually recovered by the Broncos, but the ball stayed in bounds, so the clock kept running, and ran out before another play could be run. I think the officials conferred to confirm that the ball stayed in bounds, which led to the ref announcing, "That's the end of the game." Sure beats Joe Buck just talking about all things New York Jets for an hour, featuring "Eric Mangini is a really nice guy, and he's gotten this far by being a nice guy, and sometimes that could be good and sometimes bad in life," and deciding that he doesn't like instant replay because the Bears got a call. I didn't think his St. Louis bias would extend to the Chicago Bears, but hey, there it was. No wait, he said Rex Grossman was a bad quarterback, so that related to the Bears, I guess. Dallas wins the division, and the Giants end up having to go down to week 17 to try and fight off the New Orleans/Carolina/Atlanta losers and San Francisco. Their saving grace was McNabb going down or the Eagles would be in the mix too. From potentially taking the # 1 seed in the NFC last week to now being tied for 6th with two straight stinkers isn't good. The more I look at him, the more I realize that Eli isn't a franchise QB.
