NFL Week 11

Recommended Posts

As someone who left the house when it was 24-7 Denver, what's this "That's the end of the game" stuff?

Plummer was sacked and fumbled the ball with about 15 seconds left. It was eventually recovered by the Broncos, but the ball stayed in bounds, so the clock kept running, and ran out before another play could be run. I think the officials conferred to confirm that the ball stayed in bounds, which led to the ref announcing, "That's the end of the game."

In my initial pass through this post, I wrote, "Plummer was sucked." I think that's no less accurate.

Brett Favre's bones were replaced with adamantium, much like Wolverine of the X-Men.

It's amazing that Favre never gets injured... it's not like he rarely gets sacked like a Manning or Marino, or shows great care in protecting himself. And he supposedly didn't duck out of painkiller rehab like Kurt Angle.

I would just like to note that in spite of everything that is wrong with Monday Night Football's presentation, they have talked more about the Bears during the first three minutes of Giants-Jaguars than Joe Buck did during the entirety of Bears-Jets.

Wouldn't that be wrong too?

Well, it consisted of "The Bears beat the Giants in New York, and they'll have to recover from that." Sure beats Joe Buck just talking about all things New York Jets for an hour, featuring "Eric Mangini is a really nice guy, and he's gotten this far by being a nice guy, and sometimes that could be good and sometimes bad in life," and deciding that he doesn't like instant replay because the Bears got a call. I didn't think his St. Louis bias would extend to the Chicago Bears, but hey, there it was.

No wait, he said Rex Grossman was a bad quarterback, so that related to the Bears, I guess.

It's a shame the Giants probably won't make the playoffs this year at this rate. They can't win on national TV.

Grossman really isn't that good though, and that could have been a fumble.

He's no Peyton Manning, but he's been a big part of why the Bears have scored more points than anyone but the Chargers.

Who would make the playoffs instead? Dallas in the division spot, Carolina and San Francisco as the wild cards? They'll get by.

You don't really think any other team besides the "winner" is coming out of the West, do you?

Plaxico finally shows up to play ball. Not to mention how fuckin' lucky they got on Eli's fucking fumble.

Dallas wins the division, and the Giants end up having to go down to week 17 to try and fight off the New Orleans/Carolina/Atlanta losers and San Francisco. Their saving grace was McNabb going down or the Eagles would be in the mix too. From potentially taking the # 1 seed in the NFC last week to now being tied for 6th with two straight stinkers isn't good. The more I look at him, the more I realize that Eli isn't a franchise QB.

These officials suck almost as much as the guys who decided to draft Rivers and trade him plus extras for Eli.

This game drops the Giants from #2 to #2, I think.

The big saving grace for the Giants is that they are 3-0 in their division. The way they are playing now, that could become a moot point

Edit: Damn you Czech for pointing out my spelling errors!!!
