Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2006 1) Why the hell didn't they just have MNM do the run in to keep the Hardys from squashing the other team, a team that I thought was being built up as something special in ECW? It isn't like the Hardys needed that win to look good in the eyes of the fans. 2) Why in the hell didn't WWE hold off on having the Hardys have their first match together in so many years until the ECW PPV? Surely that could've pulled in a few more buys if it was their return match. They could've been having them do run ins and helping one another, but they shouldn't have already had them team. Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2006 I assumed they would be called Team XTreme in ECW to set-up somebody to take offense to that name and maybe challenge them to a real extreme match - say Dreamer and Sandman. However with MNM coming in to wrestle, that was thrown out the window. I think they should have had an MNM run-in, to set up a three-way dance at D2D with Hardyz, MNM and Burke/Terkay... I don't think the Hardys or MNM are going to be on ECW much longer.....I wouldn't be surprised that if after this PPV they all go back to not teaming and to their respective shows. Meanwhile you got Jamie Gibson doing nothing on Smackdown where he could easily be paired with Matt Striker in an "odd couple" type pairing with Gibson working the matches, Striker can build them heat with his old-school cheap heat prematch promos. Maybe a losing streak will lead to him going "Brody"... I don't think Knox is a failure, I just think he's hurt by the fact that there isn't a mid-card title. Also he plays a psycho-type character a helluva lot better than he plays a jealous boyfriend. I wish they'd let him break out his standing moonsault... Maybe there could be a deal where ECW signs Team Xtreme or something crazy like that, so Jeff can only fight on Raw, Matt on SD! but they could only team on ECW... That's why he was hired. I mean, Vince saw Punk and said "Hey, he has charisma, can work and has a good character". What happened? He let him keep it. He wanted Terkay for that, they turn him in a watered down MMA character and gave him a better partner that looks better then him and forgot about him. Michael Hayes very likely knew who Buriser Brody was, however I'm not sure on the time line when Hayes took over the book on SD! and when Terkay was jettisoned to ecw...
