Cena is a glaring omission. And show should have made the list as well.

This list is too smarky to have Cena on it.

An even more glaring omission I think would be Minoru Suzuki.

Haha TAKARSHI Saguira. Reminds me of Tie-jiri.

Its a damn shame that Bryan Danielson has been working with good to great wrestlers this year. If he had to carry some of the crap Edge has had to carry, he'd be 1st without a shadow of a doubt.

Actually I thought RVD was way too low. Hell, he flat out HAS to be higher than Rey given that he kicked his ass head to head and Rey also got beat down way too many times in non title matches. No offense to Austin Aries, but the dude is mainly known as being Kevin Nash's lackey. RVD held 2 world titles this year, won an IC title, won a Money in the Bank match, etc.

He also had a clean PPV win over the guy ranked #1.

It's not about how many titles you hold or matches you win. It's in ring performances that count. RVD's had one or two good matches but the rest has been fairly meh...

Edge being #1 on the list indicates to me that this is NOT purely a workrate list, since there are certainly better actual technical wrestlers than him. It's just that he finally broke through and won the title this year.

Lists like this are really stupid as hell, frankly dumber than the PWI kayfabe lists. At least with those they go on what kind of year the guy actually had, mixed in with some note on the wrestler's actual ability.

And by the way, here are the good-very good matches I can think of from RVD this year:

vs. Carlito on Raw

vs. Big Show and HHH (#1 contender)

MITB from WM

vs. Shelton (Backlash, IC vs. MITB)

vs. Cena (ONS, WWE title)

vs. Edge (WWE, Vengeance)

vs. Cena (Raw, WWE title, DQ)

vs. Edge and Cena (lost WWE title)

From ECW TV:

RVD/Angle vs. Edge/Orton

RVD vs. Angle (WWE/ECW title)

RVD and Sabu vs. Test and Mike Knox, ECW rules

RVD vs. Hardcore Holly, ECW rules (Holly injury)

RVD vs. Test, ECW rules

Those are the ones I thought up off the top of my head, and it's certainly more than just a couple of good matches.
