Toxxic Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 If Khali's in, how do they get him out again? From what I've seen (and self-preservation has made me avoid seeing much) the guy bumps worse than Big Show. What does he do, have to step out over the top rope?
razazteca Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 If Khali's in, how do they get him out again? From what I've seen (and self-preservation has made me avoid seeing much) the guy bumps worse than Big Show. What does he do, have to step out over the top rope? the 10 people who use the Spear as a finisher will all do it at once to knock him out.
Hawk 34 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Just have Khali do the Kane spot by eliminating himself by stepping out of the ring.
foleyfanforever88 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 They should repeat the shock of Maven eliminating the Undertaker this year. Put Jimmy Wang Yang in and let him eliminate Orton.
Slickster Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 The addition of Sandman and Dreamer to the Rumble match means that there are 13 former World (WWE/WCW/ECW/NWA/ROH) champions in the match with a combined 50 reigns between them. And I think Brooklyn Brawler is due for a spot in the Rumble match. Use him as the comedy guy who comes out at an inopportune time (a la Scotty 2 Hotty in 2001, Hurricane in 2002, etc.)
Si82 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I'm hoping that The Brooklyn Brawler makes a special appearance. I don't know why, I just like the guy. Who dosn't? Me. I can't stand the guy.
Guest Anubis Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I guess, Joey Mercury and The Great Khali might be in the rumble match, too. Joey just because Nitro, Jeff and Matt are in there and the rumble match could be easily used to build up a possible WM feud and match, Khali will be in there just because Vince loves him so much. For the third one, I don't know yet.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 They'll do a spot where Khali gets crotched on the top rope (like after missing a big boot), and then someone like Lashley knocks him over with a spear...basically his other leg will lift over the top rope, and he'll drop from the apron to the floor. Khali will then scream incomprehensibly at whoever eliminated him.
J.T. Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 wwe.com has now added Tommy Dreamer and Kevin Thorn to the Royal Rumble. There is now 27 entrants announced. 7 are ECW guys, 9 are from SD and 11 are from RAW.
foleyfanforever88 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I'd make the last 3 guys Monty, London and Kendrick. Then I'd book the Rumble as follows: Order of Entry 1 Edge 2 Matt Hardy 3 Masters 4 Jeff Hardy 5 Kevin Thorn 6 Chavo 7 Benoit 8 Viscera 9 Kenny 10 Booker 11 Kane 12 Holly 13 London 14 Nitro 15 Sandman 16 Monty 17 Finlay 18 Orton 19 MVP 20 HBK 21 Kendrick 22 Miz 23 RVD 24 Carlito 25 Shelton 26 Sabu 27 Undertaker 28 Punk 29 Dreamer 30 Kennedy I'd make the final 6: HBK, Orton, Kennedy, RVD, Taker, Edge Kennedy eliminates RVD Orton eliminates Edge HBK eliminates Orton Kennedy eliminates HBK and Taker as they try to eliminate each other At WM: Kennedy vs Cena, Taker vs Batista, Edge vs Orton Edit: I keep assuming Kennedy will get into the Rumble, and I forgot Flair. So lets assume one of my 3 other guys isnt in or someone gets bloodied up backstage and can't make it. Hopefully Miz.
Scroby Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I don't understand why WWE doesn't just use 10 guys from each brand. I don't understand the reasoning for not doing that. Wait a second...Sandman is gonna be in the Rumble? They better do a spot where Sandman comes in and just starts caning everyone in sight.
foleyfanforever88 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I don't understand why WWE doesn't just use 10 guys from each brand. I don't understand the reasoning for not doing that. Why have 10 ECW guys, 8 of which suck and 6 of which have less of a chance than Paul London of winning, rather than give a few of those spots to Raw/SD guys who really should be in it?
Scroby Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Because in previous years, it has been 15 from Raw and 15 from Smackdown. Why change it up now? and if your response is "well they're are guys who suck"...its a royal rumble, they're won't be a whole lot of cool spots happening.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Eh...I'd rather not go back to the days where borderline jobbers were in the Rumble (mid '90s).
J.T. Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 The Rumble should be the 30 best guys. 10 ECW guys would blow. Plus, ECW has a one-hour show while SD and RAW have a 2 hour show. Twice as many minutes to showcase its stars, so it really should be 12,12 and 6. ECW dosn't have enough regulars on TV to have 10 credible guys over the 11th or 12th guy on RAW or SD. I say Khali, Boogeyman and Monty Brown are the final three announced.
The Niggardly King Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Wait a second...Sandman is gonna be in the Rumble? They better do a spot where Sandman comes in and just starts caning everyone in sight. I hope they let him do his full big entrance, that way... 2 or 3 other superstars can come in while he's still drinking a beer. Then he can come in, cane everyone in sight, hit the White Russian Legsweep, and then Shelton can kick him out, or Finlay could toss him out. It would be awesome if that happened.
Vern Gagne Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I'm hoping that The Brooklyn Brawler makes a special appearance. I don't know why, I just like the guy. Who dosn't? Me. I can't stand the guy. Same here. He's especially bad in the WWE DVDs.
Lil' Bitch Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Shawn Michaels should win. Its either him or Orton Vs. Cena at Wrestlemania 23.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Wait a second...Sandman is gonna be in the Rumble? I thought the rule was if you didn't make it to the ring before the next guy came out....you were eliminated.

UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 After watching Smackdown! it has to be Taker, they're doing some strange angle with Batista where the champ is kinda ignoring having to ever fight him.

J.T. Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 I think they are hinting towards a Taker/Batista WM title/streak match. Thye havnt really hinted at him winning the rumble tho, and they could REALLY easily make that the non "rumble winning" title match. After Umaga, Cena now has no one to face. So you'd think it would be the rumble winner cuz its built in. Taker/Batista is already starting, wouldn't it be a waste of the rumble win to give it to Taker?

Taker666 Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Just announced on WWE.com. The Hardys Vs MNM to take place at the Royal Rumble. I guess sence nobody saw their first match, might aswell have it at the Royal Rumble.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 I thought they at least had it on the books, but not used, for a while (the rule i spoke about) ... but i forgot about Nunzio and others. I wish they would bring it back, because it would add some intrigue to people getting attacked before getting to the ring.
J.T. Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Does anyone else find it real weird that Mercury is not in the rumble and the other three are when it comes to the MNM v. Hardy Match?
Aero Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 There's still three spots open, so Mercury could be added. The same could be said for Charlie Haas. Shelton's in, but Haas isn't.
Hawk 34 Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Right now, the Rumble Roster stands as RAW:11 SD:9 ECW:7 Which is rather odd and it'll likely end as 11/11/8 since I can't see ECW adding an additional pair of jobbers. I'll assume that Monty will take the 8th and final spot via a mini-battle royal (Balls, Striker, Knox, Dupree, Moore, Burke and Guido). As for the final two spots on SD, it should be Helms and Mercury but it's pretty heel heavy already so I wouldn't put it pass them to exclude Mercury since he's ominously omitted already and slot Boogeyman into that final spot. I'd like to see London/Kendrick Vs Regal/Taylor but the card looks full already including a tag match.

And these guys are Jericho, x- pac, and Muhammed Hassan. Therefore it would really be a star-studded Royal Rumble.
