Since Site Feedback is for bigger issues/concerns and people are often too lazy to go the proper route and send PMs to moderators about individual problems, use this thread to air your beef with a specific moderator or complain about 'em. This can also allow people to get their frustration out without cluttering other threads or letting things simmer until the semi-monthly uprising.

Someone else can go first, I don't have any problems.

I send a PM to mods, and they bitch about me harassing them. Because they're lazy and they hate me.

That is why I always create threads.

I'm not complaining about that. There's a deep-rooted disconnect for some reason between moderators and regular ol' posters. I doubt this'll produce real understanding, but it's worth a shot and won't have any guidelines in here.

Hmm I've only got a week to piss people off enough to bitch about me in this thread. Must get to work!

Could've gotten 1/500000 of an airship instead.

Anyway, I'm okay with the mod crew, I guess. Alf and Keiper run a tight ship, and it's not such a bad thing in Sports.

Damn you don't point out my mistakes! I may know enough to not warn you for flamming, but I'll warn you for playing a muted trumpet just you watch!

Personally I wish they'd loosen up on the "Oh, you better not start talkin' trash in our sports folder!" bit. I know it probably stems from the old nikLoss philosophy of "flaming/trash-talking distracts from serious [sports] discussion," but trash-talking is right at the very heart of sports discussion and, to me, is part of the fun.

Actually I could apply that to a lot of places on the board... except the CE Folder, which nothing can elevate from its perennial position as the sewer of the board.

The mods here are ineffective because none of them care to clean up the board, except maybe Al in the sports section. They'll only do something if it personally bothers them.

And then the argument comes that when they do bother to clean up the board (specifically the wrestling section in the past), that we don't want that. But, the problem was the people selected. Nikjohns was out of his mind, and HTQ is a troll himself.

With the current ownership, nothing will change. Adminbot only cares about financial gain, however he gets that from this place... and why in the world he accepted an offer from the biggest dullard on this board for part-ownership is beyond me.

Some is accepted. I throw in little digs to athletes/teams I hate, and it's all fine. It's when it gets into a multiple post pissing war that completely derails the point of the threads.

CrimeStoppers, which is a 1-800 number to report anonymous crimes has recently taken to giving out bracelets like the ones that Bono and Lance Armstrong wear. My brother has dubbed them 'Snitchlets" because nobody in their right mind would be caught rockin' one of those in the 'jects.

I complained about Dama once or twice. That was it.

EDIT: And WP once before I created the board to make fun of him.

Exactly. How many threads got completely derailed because of Dama, or because of someone taunting Dama? Seems like a lot of posters don't know how to argue with someone without letting it get out of hand.

When me and Agent came on, this was the first thing we discussed.

NHB is NHB again, in principle. What this means, is that we need to really start being fuckers when it comes to people breaking forum rules everywhere else, since there's now a place devoid of them, thus there's NO GOOD REASON to flame, spam, post graphic pictures, etc etc anywhere else.

I'm not going to jump all over every little jab, but if I see that stuff becoming a recurring theme with a poster, I keep an eye on them. Call it "stalking" if you want, but there's nothing personal behind my motives.

As far as the sports folder stuff, there's a difference between just trash talk between fans of different teams, and what Paul was doing to UTSU, for example. I recognize the difference, and I'm sure Al does, as well.

I also would never punish someone for attacking me, personally, unless they're just following me around constantly for that purpose.

It's probably meant more for 14 year old suburbanites who blow the whistle on their friends' weed businesses or some shit like that. The kids love the bracelets, dontchaknow.

I like Smues. He's one of the good guys here.

Re: Sports flamming, I threatened to mail Marvinisalunatic to Senegal if he kept making stupid posts about the Ravens. I figured this was acceptable flaming, because unlike a death threat, there's an outside chance that if he made it into deepest darkest Africa, he, as a large hairless pale man, may be worshipped as some sort of god, not unlike how the Aztecs viewed Hernando Cortes.
