I felt Thank You For Smoking lost its momentum midway through, especially when

The profile came out and Katie Holmes turned on him.

Thank You... had a lot of good ideas, but I think it could've been so much better.

Clerks 2 was much funnier

For everyone praising Bubble (the few of you that are), I must say that the only reason I watched it was because it was in HD the day it premiered alongside the theatrical release. But it was one of the most boring movies Ive seen in a long time. For the HDNet Movies/Theatrical simultaneous release movies, Id go with "One Last Thing" easily and in fact its on my list.

Also, Im pretty sure anyone who was a 24 fan hated the Sentinel..

I have Saw 3 and A Scanner Darkly now. Snakes on a Plane cant go on my worst list cause I enjoyed it way more than I should have and Crank wasnt that bad (or good)..kinda average.

It's definitely worth a rental. I'm not too much of a fan of thrillers or romance movies but iit was a pretty great movie. Norton delivers a great, subtle performance and it's interesting to see Giamatti cast so out of type.

I'm going to see The Queen either tomorrow or on Tuesday ($5 night at the local cinema baby) and I'm getting The Devil and Daniel Johnson fairly soon on NetFlix fairly soon. So those may end up being on the list of the top 10 movies I saw last year. But I'm not going to make another damn list.

The only truly bad movie I saw last year was Click. It had an interesting premise and a solid enough cast but Adam Sandler relied on too many old gags during the comedy parts and it was way too schmaltzy during the dramatic parts. I couldn't believe quite a few people liked the movie when I read the thread about it here after it came out.

Talladega Nights

The Prestige
