Krankor Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Cliff Floyd OF, Cubs why the hell not at this point.
Der Kommissar Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 With my last pick, I am selecting Ambiorix Burgos, RP. And I am done! Woohoo!
Fökai Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 I can't help being a homer, and at this point, it's a good gamble on spring training success carrying over to April. Lance Cormier, pitcher, Atlanta Braves
Styles Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 Mike MacDougal, Pitcher, Chicago White Sox
Styles Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 Carl Pavano, SP Hahahahaa......hahahaahahahahaha. Sorry. ......AHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHAHA. Ok, I'm just bitter because I picked him last year. Good luck.
SteakGrowsOnUecker Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 This late in the draft, I don't have much stock put into him as it is. Continue on.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Nook Logan OF WAS pretty much only for the SB potential..that I Dont have anywhere else but I dont know if hes worth a starting roster spot just for the SBs..but Ill take him anyway
CanadianChris Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Two players in a row that I would have taken next round.
Vern Gagne Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Liriano's certainly worth the risk in a keeper league. I think the earliest he's back to 2006 form is 2009.
CanadianChris Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I couldn't figure out why he wasn't kept, since he can just be hidden on the DL for the entire year and not even take up a roster spot. Unless he was drafted too high to merit keeping just for keeping's sake.
the pinjockey Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I think the value was just too much to keep him. It would have costs a 9th round pick, plus dropping him let SJ keep Matt Holliday. If the choice was him or mediocre players that is one thing, but keeping an injured Liriano and the expense of someone like Holliday would be a little too much into the future thinking.
CanadianChris Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 OK, it makes more sense if he was a 9th round pick.
treble Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 2B Aaron Hill Thankfully he qualifies at shortstop, too, so I can slide him in there if Furcal's out for any length of time.
Vern Gagne Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Does Verne know it's his turn to pick? Fuck. I forgot. C-Miguel Olivo-Marlins
Styles Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 I'll be out most of the day but I've posted Round 18 in the pinned thread, after Round 17.
iggymcfly Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 With the final pick of the 17th round, the Cranky Old Men select: Aaron Heilman, RP New York Mets Put waaaay too much thought into this pick this week. Finally decided on Heilman after he had a good spring outing the other day.
iggymcfly Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 And with the first pick of the 18th round, I'll take Nick Punto, Utility middle infielder, Minnesota
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 7 days 3 rounds we might not make it uhoh
