Guest Queen Leelee Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I have no stars. That's why I have no chance. But, that's what happens when you're the filler team. Thus, I'm going to try stacking up pitching and fast little hitters and hope to steal some wins.
CanadianChris Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Quick question: What's the rule on prospects with no ML experience? Are they ineligible to be chosen in the draft?
razazteca Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I would think if they are in the yahoo system then its fair game but you run the risk of never knowing when they will be called up.
the pinjockey Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I would think since we are doing it here instead of on Yahoo, where if they aren't in you can't take them, that "claiming" them would be no problem. The names will be recorded in the results thread. Given the depth of the league, not having access to the rookie crop seems like a needless handicap. It would just be up to the individual team owner to remember they have the rights when the kid comes up or lose his rights (to avoid having someone sit on a rookie's rights and not use a roster spot on him).
Styles Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 You can choose rookies as long as Yahoo has them available when I set up the teams.
the pinjockey Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 In that case can you set up the league on Yahoo now (just came on live) so we can see who is and isn't available to pick.
Styles Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 ROUND 5 is up. I'll check out setting up the Yahoo league in a bit. Thanks.

the pinjockey Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Remember to switch H to Slg. Otherwise whatever we had last year is fine
Styles Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 Remember to switch H to Slg. Otherwise whatever we had last year is fine Noted! Thanks.
CanadianChris Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Looks good to me. My pick will be in sometime this evening. I have absolutely no idea who I'm taking yet.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 My laptop caught a virus and I haven't been online in weeks. Sorry.
Styles Posted February 17, 2007 Author Report Posted February 17, 2007 My laptop caught a virus and I haven't been online in weeks. Sorry. Sorry to hear that. You couldn't get online at any other computer, though? I hope you understand that people were getting anxious to get going and we weren't sure when you were coming back after waiting approx. 2 weeks. I know there was another thread though looking to start up another league so you should check with them (unless Leena wants to give the team back up to you but that's up to her).
Precious Roy Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Taking a bit of a risk here Stephen Drew
Guest Queen Leelee Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Jack can have the team back if he wishes. Unless he doesn't want my crappy draft picks.
Styles Posted February 17, 2007 Author Report Posted February 17, 2007 Jack can have the team back if he wishes. Unless he doesn't want my crappy draft picks. You are certainly entitled to stay. The team is yours, but I was suggesting that if you turned the team back over, as long as he kept all draft picks, I wouldn't have a problem with that but otherwise we had to squeeze him out. Its up to you and him if you want to switch back.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 You can keep the team Leena
Styles Posted February 17, 2007 Author Report Posted February 17, 2007 Co-GMs. Oh, yeah, because this idea always works, just look at the Orioles! Anyway, PM it amongst yourselves I guess, and whoever makes the next pick for the team will keep it.
Brett Favre Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 One of you make the team on Yahoo, and for now you can rotate picks. Problem solved.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 My team: SP Carlos Zambrano SP C.C. Sabathia SP Jason Schmidt OF Ichiro 3B Scott Rolen SS Carlos Guillen 1B Adam LaRoche I now declare my team Preseason favorites to win forums.thesmartmarks.com Fantasy Baseball.

MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I guess I started it by bragging about my team.. and wheres the stuff to sign up for the league on yahoo?
Styles Posted February 18, 2007 Author Report Posted February 18, 2007 Well, I was hoping to get more feedback on the the settings. If no one raises any objection in the next few hours, it will be up by tonight.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Is that 28 minimum innings per week?
