Phil looked good in the recap, but he revealed that he is clearly crazygonuts (and not in the fun retarded quirky Taylor way) which may scare people. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Wow. That was the worst Idol show I have seen thus far. I'd say damn near all of those guys sucked tonight aside from maybe 2 or 3. Phil almost has to be gone after that debacle tonight, but I have no idea who else is 2nd on the list. I'll say Jared, since he's fairly nondescript and brings little to the table. At least guys like Sanjaya and Sundance are notable and have some sort of odd charisma. In all honesty, Sundance might deserve to be canned due to that butchering of Jeremy. He stomps one foot with the beat and closes his eyes a lot when he sings, which I'm assuming makes him soulful or something. He's terrible, though. Sundance is probably taking some of Sligh's votes from those who like the fat, sloppy white guy look community too. It's a shame we can't just vote off 4 guys, keep all 8 girls and have Antonella vs Sanjaya battle it out for this season's worst contestant in the top 12. He's hated like Kevin. He'll be bleh every week, but nothing memorable. Sundance is entertainment. He has his few OK karaoke sounding performances, but when he's bad, he knocks it out of the park. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Sanjaya is worlds above Covias, to be fair. He just plays it way too safe with both his song selection and the way he performs his songs. He has shown glimses of what the judges love, but rarely ever feels it and goes big. Chalk it up to nerves and inexperience in performing infront of big audiences, but he doesn't let loose and while I don't think that is killing him, I think it really is hurting him from placing beyond the top 11. And really, I think I'll go with Barba being history as well. There's a difference in voting a notable loser to advance over nondescript losers with no charisma. Melinda Doolittle gets points for the name, but that's about it. I really liked Leslie Hunt, who was goofy and cute and had that accent which is a great combination, and liked Feist, which is even better, and now that she is gone so has most of the personality from the ladies. Unfortunately, in this competition where hitting the big notes is what matters to the judges, it will cost her. She also looks amazingly good below the nose. I hope she stays...
