Steiners getting back together

Recommended Posts

Has anyone heard anything about a long-term reunion of the Steiner Bros? Hell, has anyone even SEEN Rick Steiner lately? What kind of condition is he in?

I'm asking cause last night during Raw, there was a commercial for a UWF show that's going to be held here in Wilmington, with the main event of Team 3D vs. the Steiners. Just wondering if the Steiners teaming up is a sign of things to come, or just a one night (or, one circuit rotation, at least) event?

Yeah, found the real estate site that dub was talking about http://www.homesofnorthgeorgia.com/ Now he just looks like some guy your dad would hang out with.

I think I'm gonna end up going to the show, if I don't have to work. Looking at the UWF website, they have no other matches announced, but they have a list of people scheduled to appear:

Corino, Jerry Lynn, Brother Runt, April Hunter, D-Lo, Killings, Hoyt, Kazarian, Bentley, and "many more"

Basically it looks like another TNA through UWF card, which is alright with me, since it's only about 15 minutes from my house. Plus there's a possibility of Lita, but not confirmed. The site just says she's been signed on for "selected events." And there's only 2 events listed on their site right now anyways.

Rick was working NOAH up until 2006, IIRC.

I'd rather they not get back together, they would only tarnish their legacy as THE GREATEST TAG TEAM OF ALL TIME.

It's probably a one-night thing. A lot of things happen on Indy shows that are one-time things because the paycheck was right, and scheduling was right. Indy shows are GREAT for random happenings that wouldn't be possibly on a bigger stage.

The Steiners have been doing one-shot reunions for about two years running, including one with the James Gang that could've been considered a "dream match" about nine years ago. It's basically a matter of the brothers' schedules coming together.

Maybe Rick is showing a house in the area.

I plan to attend the UWF/TNA show in Wilson the night before the Wilmington show. Diamonds in the Rough vs. Team 3-D. But the match I really want to see is Jerry Lynn vs. Steve Corino, should be great. Scott Steiner is also schedule to appear, but no Rick Steiner.

I attended the Wilson show last night and the Steiner Brothers wrestled Frankie Kazarian and Matt Bentley. Pretty nice surprise since Rick Steiner wasn't even promoted for the show.

It was fun to see them back together, but don't expect some type of clinic. However, Rick Steiner did move pretty well in the ring.

I would recommend you attend the show tonight in Wilmington if you can. Don't enter as a smark or you'll be dissappointed, but as a wrestling fan it is just a fun time. Hit the HighSpots table at the end of the night and you might cut some deals. They had a 2 DVDs for $25 deal on all the UWF shows (I picked up Hardcore War and Steiner vs. Joe II), but the guy also cut me a special deal for 2 PWG DVDs for $20 (I picked up Card Subject to Change and Card Subject to Change II). Saved $25, good stuff.
