I don't see anything in that video that proves the BPD lied about pipe bombs. Is that the incilnation- that there were no pipe bomb threats? This is exactly my problem with this whole thing- idiots with a shitty video blog and a hard-on for the Cartoon Network ignore parts of the story and are taken as intraweb idols and useful news commentary. Boon 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 If you'd ever actually taken the opportunity to figure out how I felt about it, I would've told you that the BPD overreacted. My "only recourse" was actually to show people why they overreacted, namely the two pipebomb threats that were indeed quite real. The other cities that had Mooninites planted and didn't go crazy did not have those threats. Besides the fact that the city did not "shut down" like everybody seems to think it did. I guess I've been so zealous about defending the BPD [read, not the city] is that they're being made to look like fools by people who either do not know about or are choosing to ignore an important difference in the situations. I have a problem with people who get their news from places like video blogs and the Daily Show and consider themselves informed news consumers.
