Does anyone want me to review their match? If so, I will review the first match to be mentioned in here... as soon as I get back from brunch.

Hey Tom, what was the percentage?

I'm not sure what the showing percentage was - I booked Zyon by mistake, so I'm loathe to hold that against the fed, but I didn't get feedback from all of the markers on who showed and who didn't. I know Calvin did, but I'm not sure about Zack or MANSON.

Sure is one long-ass brunch, WC.

I needs to read the show, as I basically skimmed over it, glancing at the matches. I did at least read the promos, or a very large percentage of them. lolzzzzz

So I intend to thoroughly read the in a bit and comment, though the road to hell is paved with good intentions, whether it's OoC or as "that random fucker," who knows. But. I feel the need to sympathize for Stephens for the first half I wrote and props for him "Stephensizing" it... I was focusing way too hard on too many potential storyline moments then realized it already had nearly hit 3k with really not -that- much action. The man works miracles, I tell you.

I whacked out a few comments for Skull Radio, but a couple of things I didn't have time to say - Landon's character and promo is awesome. Few other main-eventers would just razz their tongue at a long-time career rival, and the "umm... yes?" response to Gabe's breakdown of how the match could favour him is great, just great.

I really like what Drea did with MANSON coming out with a crowd of Mansonites all in hooded robes, and doing the bait-and-switch with a follower/disciple/whatever. I really wish MANSON would do more crazy promos like that one where he was channelling a sort of Satanic Hulk Hogan, the character has the potential to go so wild and all it needs is MANSON putting a little more into it.

Yeah, that's all I've got for now.

Now THAT's how brunch is done! ;)

Straight stream of consciousness here:

I'm a little confused by how the turtles took longer to get Jimmy from behind the curtain than they did to get him from the stage to the ring, but that can probably be overlooked... I loved the bait-and-switch by MANSON at the start of the match. MANSON gets to clubbering, and that crazy-ass onomatopoeia... and, you know, Drea's matches tend to read more like a mockery of a wrestling match than an actual portrayal of a wrestling match... Right hook will beat Shotei every time, unless you punch like Landon... The chain is inspired... I'm wondering Where did MANSON find a folding chair in the women's restroom... must have run out of words that started with "H," but that seems inconceivable with the word limit... Doom Driver on the concrete? MANSON must have some Doomtopian blood... A submission finish seemed inappropriate, given the lack of buildup, but it was a good enough finish. Good read overall.

While I wait for WC to review my match, I'll actually comment on some stuff:

Captain Clark's Promo - Good stuff. You can really tell Alan is totally gay for Landon, except not, lollerz. Seriously, though, some very nice stuff in a long line of second tier champs justifying their kick assery. Alan ams teh smort! However, I gotta point out that kicking someone in the skull is a sure fire way of putting a damper on them brain powers.

Landon's Promo featuring Gabriel Drake - As it's been said by that other guy that said it, nice bait and switch with the stip reveal. I also liked the run-down of all other potential stips and junk and stuff. Then, Gabe comes out. Just something I want to say that I'm assuming is a typo, but I enjoyed anyway:

Gabriel walks the stairs and locks eyes with the number one contender, a small flicker of a smile appearing on her face as Landon watches on.

Anyway, on with the promo stuffs! Oh mans, a handshake! It's probably one of those magic "kills you in however much time it is between now and five minutes into the Landon/Drake match at the PPV" handshakes.

Stephens's's's Promo featuring Landon Maddix - RAR! Mike is mad, and Landon doesn't know why! RAR! But, yeah, those crazy Englishicans are at it again with the tension and storyline progression and character development, those bastards! Much goods.

Zack Malibu vs. Xero - Lolz, I accidentally wrote Zero like three times at first...Hey, isn't Maddox that guy who has an internets? Anyway, the match was pretty good for someone returning from such a long break. A bit choppy at times, and the "Xero does this. Zack does this. Xero does this. Zack does this." style got a little repetitive, but I'm sure it'll get smoothed out in the coming matches. I mean, this is Xero and like, stuffs.

Stephens and Luchador Promo - I'll be honest, first thing I thought of when I read the 'knock-knock' was of Spike's NTD audio promo. I was a little disappointed there was no talk of leg modeling, but the promo was good. Kinda makes me wish IL and I did one back when we were booked in that one tag match we no-showed. lolz.

Stephens Promo featuring Drake - New chant idea: DRAKE'S GONNA BE NICE TO YOU! DRAKE'S GONNA BE NICE TO YOU! No? Meh. Another good promo, and man, when did Toxx change his name to Poochie?

Tom Flesher Promo featuring Danny Williams & Stephens - Gah! Poochie strikes again! Nice promo with the history and junk, but man, no Strong Style Ribs plug? Boo-urns.

Jimmy the Doom vs. MANSON - How was there no MANSONOSITY? HOW???????!!!! Also, that finish was totally lamezorz. The Finnish, on the other hand, are cool peoples.

Johnny Dangerous featuring The Mime Formerly Known as Wildchild - JOHNNY SMASH BRIT! GRAR! In other words, another solid promo, but it loses points because while there is a mention of Poochie Stephens, he isn't actually in the promo.

Last two matches and last fifty Poochie promos to be reviewed later. Tonight maybe (most likely not), tomorrow most definitively.

I probably should run down something in detail but I think Drea handled it well. I may get into someone's match if they ask. But on to the show... Clark's retrospective actually has me interested. Normally when people do those, they're building towards something large in scope for the character. I heard on Skull Radio that he's retooling his plans so this is a good start. Also, Michael Stephens is basically all over the show. I think when running thread like that happen it bodes well for us as a fed. Good bit of story telling with IL picking up the big pin, as though Storm promo's tell a different story, Stephens is fazing himself out even through the little things like taking a backseat to IL's story. WC wrote what I expected and it works with the way his characters been built. I'm just glad he got his title defense out of the way so it looks like W&D at the PPV. I do wonder what Calvin would have done with the belt though. It would have been sponsored by Tom Flesher and used as a toliet seat or something. Angles are starting to cook and new people are apparently on the way. A special mention to Landon for being one of the best promo guys I've seen and me for writing Toxxic correctly, since Landon can't :P

As an aside it must feel odd for Xero to come back writing a true heavyweight after being the king of the DDT way back when. I'd love to see some throwbacks to that in his matches and moveset.
