alfdogg Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 The Hoosiers should just yell really loud whenever they drive for a layup, and they'll get to the line every time. It's working for the Bruins. Of course, given the way we shot free throws tonight, that probably wouldn't have helped anyway. 7-1 on the day, losing only Washington State.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 7-1 on the day, losing only Washington State. ditto
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 We're done with Gus Johnson for the tournament now, aren't we? That's disappointing.
Guest Sabu Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I too went 7-1, only Lousville losing hurt as I had them in the elite 8
CanadianChris Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 6-2 (VCU and Maryland), but my Elite 8 is intact for now.
CanadianChris Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 We're done with Gus Johnson for the tournament now, aren't we? That's disappointing. They really should reconsider having James Brown and Len Elmore for the regionals.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I love JB as a football studio guy, but he's been really bad.
snuffbox Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I went 5-3 today & lost an Elite 8 team (Maryland).
cabbageboy Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Oh dear god....Pitt vs. UCLA. It's like the nightmare come to life. Let's just hope SIU doesn't advance all THAT far since I can't stomach the Pitt/UCLA winner facing SIU in the Elite 8. Let's just give that region to Kansas, even if they are chokers. Whoever wins that epic Pitt/UCLA clash is bound to be out of gas for the Elite 8. For tomorrow I'll take Tennessee, SIU, Nevada, Wisconsin, Florida, Kansas, Texas, and I guess I'll stick with Oregon but am iffy on that pick since ND was in my bracket. Winthrop could be the Cinderella of this tourney now.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I think JB's been ok, and I've had him for like, 5 full games so far. He needs more time with calling games, and he'll be good. He calls the action just as it is, no frills. And I like that.

CanadianChris Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Tennessee/UVa is fun so far. It's like the anti-UCLA/Indiana.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I'm having 8 heart attacks already. First to 100 wins.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I'm unusually nervous about the SC game. We're getting another close one here, and probably a 90 point game to boot.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I'm psyched about SC/Texas. If I have any pulse left after this game, today's matchups look awesome. If we get a day half as good as yesterday, this is a hell of a weekend.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 We matchup with Texas a ton better than a lot of people think, but I don't think we can stop Durant. That said, Durant's going to have a hell of a job stopping Taj "Mahal" Gibson down low.
Hank Kingsley Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 22 points already, FUCK YEAH I love JR Reynolds.
ANKLELOCK Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 These refs are atrocious. The last thing Tennessee needs with their style of play are refs who call the ticky tacks.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 UVA is definitely getting a lot of calls here thanks to the refs calling a really tight game. Reynolds is playing himself into the NBA this weekend.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Ha, Chism drove the lane like Shaq on that play.
Mik Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I think UNC can take Texas. Too talented and too deep. A solid 10 man rotation, all of which could start on other tournament teams, taking on a 1 man team. Anyone want to remind me again why everyone is taking Texas?
Guest Queen Leelee Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 That's Kevin Durant and the Texas Longhorns.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 No, God and friends. How dare you call that great man by his earthly name.
snuffbox Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Like how Ohio St is always a one-man show?
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Nah, they're a little different. Oden's obviously NOT their most important player.
Hank Kingsley Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 oh, fuck me. edit: okay, that almost made up for it.
snuffbox Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Nah, they're a little different. Oden's obviously NOT their most important player. He is their most important player if for no other reason than the amount of attention he draws from opposing teams. He is not, as I have said more than a few times here lately when it has been opined otherwise, not the 'only' player on the team.
Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I say that because I think that Ohio St. could win the tourney without Oden. I don't think they could win it without Conley.
