CanadianGuitarist Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Well fuck. I'm not watching the game in Vancouver tomorrow night. That's two straight games I've stayed up late for naught.
Annabelle Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 holla. i was honestly expecting the flames to take this one. so i am pleasantly surprised.
Guest Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I told my dad that Johan Franzen would score the game winning goal. I was stunned to see the number on the back of his jersey as he took the shot. That is not the type of goal that he scores. I've NEVER seen him take a slap shot.
packwingfn Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Sweet justice too that Frazen scored the game winner after getting slashed last night by Mcclennan. And as soon as Frazen had the puck, I was about to say that one of the non-stars would score the goal. I was expecting Cleary but I'll take it. So if Stars win tomorrow, Stars-Wings...Canucks win...Wings-Sharks? Am i right?
Zetterberg is God Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I am very fucking happy right now. I criticized the living shit out of Lang and he is getting it done. Franzen with the huge goal to silence the crowd and give me my first live playoff win. I hope to God we draw the Stars because that is by far the easiest series. And Angle Is God...I see your from Calgary, how come your not a Flames fan? I'm not orginally from Calgary, so that's part of it. The main reason though is that Steve Yzerman was my favorite player and liking him just extended to liking the team.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 If Dallas wins tonight.. I guess we"ll see Ottawa get every call therafter. ... Worst kepts secret ever... ... Canadian teams advance
Red Baron Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Or Buffalo fans whine about how their team is the black sheep of hockey.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 The NHL must be loving this from their American standpoint. 4 of, arguably, the top 6-7 American fanbases/hockey markets are in the second round (NY, Det, SJ, Buf) and one that comes pretty close (Dal) could be in too.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 They would have been happier with Crosby advancing.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Meh. Crosby will have many more chances.
CanadianChris Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 This is the first Game 7 I can remember where I have absolutely no interest in watching. That's how bad the hockey has been in this series.
the max Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 This is the first Game 7 I can remember where I have absolutely no interest in watching. That's how bad the hockey has been in this series. Same here. The girlfriend will likely stay up for it, but I think I'll just read a book or something.
treble Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Canucks just can't buy a goal. It's almost funny.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I seriously didn't think the Canucks would score again. Good for them. I'm almost regretting giving up on game 7 tix.
CanadianGuitarist Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Vancouver's been all over Dallas the last 25 minutes. The Dallas penalties didn't help matters. That's getting a little ridiculous.
CanadianGuitarist Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Vancouver is 2 for 8 tonight on the pp. This brings their total to 2 for 37 for the series. I have never ever seen anything like this. Four-on-three, in a game seven, with six minutes to play.
ZGangsta Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Insane amount of penalties there, but fuck it. Looks like Vancouver finally showed up to play for the second half there. I'm so stoked they got through.
bob_barron Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Trevor Linden. Trevor Linden. Trevor Linden
CanadianChris Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Well, that keeps my predicted Cup final alive.
Guest Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I got two series wrong. That's a decent percentage.
bob_barron Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I got one series wrong (Pittsburgh-Ottawa). But YES YES YES YES YES YES YES- I'm so relieved
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Now I'm really regretting giving up on Game 7 tix. Ah well. So amazing to see the Nucks pull that off after not scoring for two games, with OLD MAN LINDEN showing up in another clutch game 7 performance.
bob_barron Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I don't know how Linden does it. 12 goals all year, already he has two GWG. They should really just rename that arena Linden Place. And dude- it's Game 7!! How can you say no?
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I don't know how Linden does it. 12 goals all year, already he has two GWG. They should really just rename that arena Linden Place. And dude- it's Game 7!! How can you say no? 6pm local start + watching them score 0 goals in the last two games. I didn't want to go there just to get horribly disappointed again and then have my car destroyed in the riot after. No worries though, I should be able to get seats for games 3 and 4 of the next series. Also, I liked how said you were "relieved". It really is what everyone here is feeling, some happiness but mostly insane relief that they didn't blow it.
Zetterberg is God Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Tough series for Detroit, but if they can keep up the quality defence and limit shots, they have a good chance of taking it.
treble Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Only got 2 series wrong. Of course, they were my picks to go all the way to the Finals, too.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I got one wrong. Pretty decent.
