I bet Cole picks the songs for these dance skits.

They should just do Cherry Pie every week.

Remember when it seemed like all WWE had in the truck that wasn't nu metal, was "Buttons"?

I'm not sure why the people here would complain. They were aware that Undertaker was out. They knew Henry was coming back. They knew Kennedy was gone for awhile. If they are going to get pissed that WWE made the logical move to promote the title chance, they should be pissed to follow the news that reported Undertaker being out of action.

You don't see a difference between just speculation, rumors, and the such and watching it actually happen live or on a taped show? Things change, nothing is ever for certain, everyone knows that. They could've just as likely had Batista beat Taker, and have Edge do his gimmick for the upcoming PPV. Sure, everyone expected Edge to win, I thought it would happen the second he beat Kennedy, but like I said, there's a difference between knowing what's likely to happen, and actually seeing it go down. It's why I never read spoilers. Even when I know what's likely to happen, there's a totally different feel in watching something without knowing for sure what happens.

That said, that's all I'm going to say about it, meh.

That was bad.........

Actually I amend what I said, they should just dance to 80's music everytime, gives it more a strip club feel like it should.

You know, forgetting about the SD spoiler deal and everything, this episode of ECW has been a huge step back for the brand so far. God only knows what's going to happen on the rest of the show.

The lack of a long McMahon promo puts it ahead of a good deal of other ECW shows in the previous weeks. The show was rolling until the Punk re-turn that went nowhere. Punk STILL hasn't said anything about it. Just keeps on smilin' and pointing at the I WUV PUNK signs.

With the way this show is going, the Sandman deal, Elijah totally going over that Major Brother, whatever his name is, I have a feeling that we might see a burial unlike any burial we've ever seen before here with RVD.

I figured it would be bad, but not as bad as I think it might be now. RVD is totally eating his own move at the hands, errr feet, of Shane.

I'm surprised they didn't duplicate WMXIX and have Trump-McMahon with Lashley and Umaga deep in the background as the cover for the WMXXIII DVD.

I'd like to think they save the final burial for ONS for the symbolic measure.

That's likely to be the final nail in RVD's WWE coffin.

I'm sure the "old" ECW fans are going to go off when RVD loses but honestly what do people expect.....they can't exactly put a guy over when he turned down their offer from all accounts which was a good offer on WWE's part.

While the finish of a Van Shaneinator would be atrocious, a street fight with RVD and Shane at ONS could be quite fun.

Just have Shane "step up" and plea to his father to handle this on his own and get rid of RVD once and for all.

Also, just since we haven't seen it yet, I'll call Sabu or Dreamer turning on RVD tonight or quite soon.

I really hate when wrestlers sell for Shane.........

Shane might not be a big guy, but he isn't all that tiny either...and he's been in quite a few matches where he brawled and even did some chain wrestling (see: Angle @ KOTR) and it should be feasible given his length of time in the business and like 8 years of being an on-and-off on screen character with some matches under his belt that he could do some...SOME...damage. Add the fact that most times when he actually does go into the ring he is in some kind of odd gimmick match where he can throw himself from high places.......he has the ability to get a win here and there. And as much as it annoys me that he gets to do the Van Terminator all the time, I think he should have stuck with doing the Macho Elbow for any sort of credible finisher.

What amazes me is that despite not appearing to be remotely athletic at all, he usually hits the Terminator spot dead on.

I'm hoping against hope that they will use RVD's last match in a constructive fashion to get someone over. Not some lame burial crap that is a 5 minute match or putting over Shane, etc. As in giving him and Punk about 20 minutes on PPV with Punk getting the win.

Again I say this: If RVD has no plans on coming back to WWE, why agree to some bullshit burial? Van Dam isn't this Jericho type heel that they can drag kicking and screaming out of the building. The guy is a face after all. It might be reasonable for him to put someone over on the way out, but he shouldn't agree to some crap scenario that would bury him. I think he outta say "Hey, I'll be glad to put a guy over on the way out, but I want to at least look respectable."

It's really bad business to bury Van Dam at ONS. Even in Jacksonville that crowd will be decidedly pro ECW and most will know the reality of the situation, but will still want RVD to not look like a chump.

Ok, I really need to ask this, why are people so concerned if RVD is going to be "buried' in what might be his last match at ONS? Weather RVD wins or looses or goes over right or goes over in a way that doesn't make sense, its not going to hurt his career outside of the WWE at all.

For some reason certain people here believe if RVD looses at his last match and those same certain people consider it a "burial" type of match, RVD's fucked anywhere he goes. RVD won't be screwed at all, wrestling is a work, do you honestly think some promoter or booker is going to say "Rob Van Dam? Didn't he lose to *insert name here* at One Night Stand?.....OH WE CAN'T BOOK HIM!" Thats not going to happen ever. Not on the indy curcuit, not in Japan, not with TNA, no one is going to think that. Yes his WWE career has had it's up and down's but that doesn't mean he isn't a draw. If your a promoter and you put Rob Van Dam's name on the bill, your going to draw people, plain and simple.

If you truely believe RVD's career is going to tank after the One Night Stand ppv, your really really wrong.

Shane-o looked great tonight! Would love to see a RVD - Shane hardcore match

I think it kills some of the surprise and coolness factor of Edge running in and taking out Taker, if you already know what's going to happen!

It annoys me that Nunzio seemed to last longer than Sandman against Snitsky. Fairly average show by my mind, I enjoyed the Monty Brown and Elijah matches, and the RVD match could have been a lot worse.

Am I the only wrestling fan that didn't know about the "Tag Rope"? I thought it was just the ends of the turnbuckle fastening, which wrestlers held onto out of habit.

Not your fault. They had about a ten year stretch where they ignored it altogether.

Another little known rule: Technically the tag is only legal with both feet on the apron while reaching over the top rope (at least in the States). This has not only been ignored for ten years or more, but it's been seemingly ignored in every women's tag team ever with the lone exception of the Jumping Bomb Angels-Glamour Girls match at Royal Rumble 1988.

I wish to put out the notion of Shane pinning Lashley at JD, winning the belt and causing a split in the family.

Would Shane win the belt in that situation? If it was a fatal four way, sure, but how the hell do you defend the title with partners on your side?

Yeah I don't know what the official ruling would be if someone besides Vince on that team pinned Lashley.

As far as legal tags go, I get into rants with my brother about this frequently. Whenever I see a match where someone has their feet on the ropes leaning in for a tag, I always say "That is NOT a legal tag." And of course the response is "Nobody cares." Hand on tag rope, both feet on apron = legal tag. Anything else...bah.

They need to do a Dusty booking with that one day. Have an official "go by the book" or have the losing team protest and reverse a title win for a face team with that being the logic. Very Jericho-esque dredging up an oft ignored rule.

I'd mark for that.
