Personally, I still would have liked to see Tom Cruise as Veidt. Jude Law should do well though.

I'm trying to think of an actor for Manhattan, and Ralph Fiennes popped into my head. He could do the cold, emotionless stuff pretty well I think.

Well Keanu might be out of the picture anyway if Constantine 2 gets filming around the time they start Watchmen. So that might be the best thing in the world to hope for. Keanu seems more interested in doing a very hard R rated Constantine sequel than anything else so if they can get that rolling first, he'll be off the table for this.

Ever since Zack Snyder signed on, I've just gotten a bad vibe from the project, like a bad aura. By point of comparison, I was very optimistic when David Hayter was writing the script and planning on directing it - even after it was turned over to a different director with Hayter's script.
