Guest Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Best news in a while, Cammalleri's going to get a 2 year deal coming out of arbitration. We get to keep our elite forward, thanks to Lou helping us out with the Parise deal.
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Though it's the third time it's been rumoured, sounds like MLSE is trying to sign on Bowman as their president. Bowman denies it, but Sportsnet News says they should have an answer by Thursday or Friday.
CanadianChris Posted August 5, 2007 Author Report Posted August 5, 2007 I would really prefer that this not happen.
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 As a non-Leaf fan, I would also not like to see it.
treble Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 It'd be nice, but I really doubt it would make any difference. He'd probably just be a figurehead, I really don't know what he would do.
Red Baron Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Another excuse for Leaf fans that somehow Bowman will bring home a Stanley Cup.
Guest Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Cammalleri's contract numbers coming out of arbitration are 3.1 million and 3.6 million. Suck on that Gomez, we got a player better than you for half the price. If he stays healthy we'll be paying a 95 point player 3.6 million in 08-09. Huge win for the Kings.
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Darryl Katz's bid to buy the Oil has been turned down.

Yea, eat that guy still making a lot more money
CanadianChris Posted August 8, 2007 Author Report Posted August 8, 2007 Luke Richardson signed a one-year deal with Ottawa for $500K. Â This is a guy who I couldn't believe was still playing the FIRST season after the lockout.
LaParkaMarka Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 He actually seems older than he is: Born Mar 26, 1969 Â We all think he's ancient because he was drafted in the 87 entry draft and has played ever since. 20 years...he's like a less talented Chris Chelios.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Any word on any more teams changing uniforms for next year? Should be only a matter of time for the rest of the new unis if they are all going to the RBK EDGE uni.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 I think when training camp starts, the new logos will be released. NHL 08 should have the new logos.
JustJoe2k5 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Vancouver is set to unveil their new jerseys sometime soon. Hurricanes' new jersey was leaked in the NHL 08 pictures, but the official debut is set for the Caniac Carnival in mid-September.
JustJoe2k5 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 http://www.geocities.com/capn89/ Â Above site has pictures of all of the new jerseys and pictures of rumored jersey alterations.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 http://www.geocities.com/capn89/ Above site has pictures of all of the new jerseys and pictures of rumored jersey alterations.  Not a fan of Calgary or Islanders  Good to see the Rangers and Wings pretty much stay the same  The Kings jersey really isn't too much of a change  I'm a little curious as to what the Canucks jersey will look like now  And, I'm a fan of the new Ottawa logo, but those better not be the jerseys on those models
JustJoe2k5 Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 http://nhllogos.blogspot.com/ Â There's another website. On the right side, you'll see countdowns to when teams will unveil their new jerseys.
Red Baron Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 Kevyn Adams is in Chicago after a trade that sent Radim Vrbata went the other way. Â Also Mike Peca is rumoured to be signing with the New York Rangers.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 Mike Ricci is hanging them up. Â Link
Red Baron Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Sportsnet said that Mark Bell fled a hit and run scene.
Red Baron Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Ah fuck California and their fucked up ways.
Star Ocean 3 Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 California is the best place ever. Â Actually, this is funny. Toronto.
treble Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Well, this'll be a great season for Bell. I know I'd be at my best if I knew I had to go to jail once the year was over.
Red Baron Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Habs former GM, Sam Pollock passed away at the age of 81.
Red Baron Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Also. Peter Forsberg might be going to Ottawa?
CanadianChris Posted August 16, 2007 Author Report Posted August 16, 2007 I heard that a few days ago. Probably just an interesting rumour; I can't see Ottawa being able to pay Forsberg unless he'd be willing to come for a discount.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 As good as Forsberg is, I don't see why anyone would pay full price for a player who will more then likely miss 50% (if not more) due to injuries
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 Looks like Belfour's gonna be playing in Sweden this season.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 I feel sorry for Belfour, CuJo, Sean Burke. All of them are old goaltenders that can still pay at the NHL level. I hope they all find NHL teams.
the max Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Burke can't even sit on the bench and model hats at the NHL level.
