Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 When Bobby Lashley was drafted to Raw, ECW was left without a champion. The ECW World Title picture, however, will begin to clear up this week on ECW on Sci Fi when Chris Benoit will face Elijah Burke, and CM Punk will battle Marcus Cor Von. The winners of these matches will move on to Vengeance: Night of Champions to compete for the ECW World Title. Which two Superstars will compete for ECW's biggest prize? Watch ECW on Sci Fi and find out. Also, Boogeyman grossed out both ECW fans and Matt Striker in his first trip in the Land of the Extreme. Watch out ECW – Boogeyman is coming to getcha! The only question is who is next on his worm-infested list. And finally, watch ECW on Sci Fi for the latest on the mystery surrounding the presumed fiery demise of Mr. McMahon. All this and more on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Sounds like it will either be Benoit vs Cor Von or Punk vs Burke for Vengeance.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I still wouldn't be shocked if they managed to pull off two non-finishes to set up a Four Corners match. Although, I'm more inclined to expect Benoit-Cor Von as the finals. I'm all for Benoit-Punk but I'd like to see more time built for the match down the road. The problem with that is that Raw will be doing a multi man match for the title. I can't see ECW doing the same.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I won't read into the new video package but Punk was all over it and was the final superstar shown which has usually been given to the champion or the main face. So, it appears Punk and not Benoit is apparently the #1 face on the show, for now.
trackc53 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I hope Benoit wins, just as a consolation to being moved down to ECW. Benoit/Punk would be awesome.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I hope Benoit wins, just as a consolation to being moved down to ECW. Benoit/Punk would be awesome. Yeah. He got moved from being the mid-card face stuck spinning his wheels to being the among the top names for the other brand that's given just as much importance and attention as the other not named Raw. Benoit really got shafted.
uhftv 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 God forbid somebody actually could beat Lashley for the title. It takes 3 men to get the belt from him. THREE. 2 of which are old dudes that arent wrestlers. And I like how it meant so much to get the belt back from Vince and he just relinquishes it no problem.
Breakpack 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Is Benoit wearing Jericho's old tights?

THREE. 2 of which are old dudes that arent wrestlers. And I like how it meant so much to get the belt back from Vince and he just relinquishes it no problem. He had no choice. He also said he'd get back at McMahon for it and become a champion again. It's not as if he went "Bye bye ECW! I hated you!" Old dudes? Umaga and Shane qualify as old now? Is Benoit wearing Jericho's old tights? Looks like Jericho's KOTW pose but it's actually just Benoit's swan dive.

foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I want them to save Benoit vs Punk, so I'm hoping Nitro interferes in the main event leading to a Benoit-Cor Von title match (with Benoit winning) and a Punk-Nitro feud.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I doubt they'll give us Punk vs Benoit so soon, or at least they shouldn't.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Scott Armstrong isn't doing a good job as referee, just too slow to the count and oversells the shoulder check, taking away from the excitement of the pin. Benoit/Burke was a good match. ECW 2.0 "Year Two" has been enjoyable so far.

I'm not digging a Punk-Nitro program right now. Of all the moves, Nitro to ECW was the one that made the least amount of sense or need. No reason he shouldn't have gone to SD with Kenny. Masters would have been better suited for ECW, which might sound like a harsh thing to say w/r/t Nitro but it wasn't.

trackc53 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 does the WWE front office ever think about hiring acting coaches?? Seriously, it's been like decades since promos have become so pivotal for a wrestler. Some people, like Stephanie McMahon, just truly suck and need help.

Mecca 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Like Steph gives us her number That would be great.........they'd get alot of really nice phone calls about what a dipshit she is and HHH is and how they are ruining the company......I'd like to see a promo about that. Some people, like Stephanie McMahon, just truly suck and need help. That's what the "producers" are for. Arn Anderson never had a problem cutting a promo or acting. Blame the shit writing and lack of creative freedoms.
