I don't know if this was already a well known thing, but I was just browsing IMDB and came across t

his - Righteous Kill (2008)

So, yeah, De Niro and Pacino together. I instantly drew wood. Then I scrolled down a little and saw.. 50 FUCKING CENT? How in the hell, of all the talented black actors in the world, does 50 Cent end up in a movie with fucking De Niro and Pacino?

Obviously, I'm still looking forward to the movie, but damn, that sure is a kick in the nuts.

Why not? He's practically unknown. He did write a nice script for Inside Man though.

He also wrote 2 episodes for the worst cop drama not named Cop Rock in Blind Justice!

You know I actually watched an episode or two of Cop Rock when it was rerun on the Trio channel and honestly, it wasn't that bad, just really bizarre. During the straight non-singing scenes, I'd go as far as to say it was a half decent cop show but once they started singing, it became really weird and just ruined the mood of the show.

As for the movie, I'm skeptical. I haven't really liked anything either actor has done in terms of dramatic movies (DeNiro's made one or two decent comedies) in the past decade.

50 Cent hasn't exactly helped a movie draw any money. The decision doesn't make any sense unless the casting director is in debt to Dr. Dre or something.

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that they made a movie together, when they were both regularly turning out great performances, that had a very good supporting cast and an excellent gunfight/getaway scene.

Well, let's check IMDB:

Pacino: does his share of repetitive crap (The Recruit) but still tries to star in different types of roles and movies (Insomnia, Angels in America, The Merchant of Venice).

De Niro: hasn't had a great role since 1997. Constantly takes stupid comedies, forgettable thrillers, children's movies, and no-name foreign films. Has been killing his own reputation for years now.

But, considering that this is their first "real" movie together (the three minutes of combined footage in Heat doesn't really count), it's still got a little attraction.
