Some guy on Jim Rome's show said the Titans were concerned someone would shoot on Jones because they didn't like him to prove a point.....then Roger Lodge quickly interjected "that would be the first time anything in wrestling was ever real" and made this corny face.

This should probably be in the ESPN thread but I can't stand when Roger Lodge is on Jim Rome. What a douche.

I was looking forward to seeing what Pacman would do in TNA. Too bad.

I can't see this restraining order being upheld after a certain point. As noted the Titans are basically trying to screw the guy over. This is a disturbing ruling thus far because it is saying a guy doesn't have the right to make a living doing another job while suspended long term from his current job.

The silly thing about it is that guys like Kevin Greene were wrestling The Giant on PPVs, and the Panthers didn't really make a peep about it.

The Titans let a guy ACTIVELY on their roster particpate in THE SAME COMPANY 2 MONTHS AGO.

...

Point taken, but clearly the Titans want him to not capitalize on his suspension by doing this, much less making a shit-ton of money off it. TNA shouldn't even fight it anyway, this whole thing is a waste of money - just have him appear at the ppv this weekend, cut an angle with whoever much like Urlacher did years ago, and MAYBE you can follow up with it sometime later, but don't go as full tilt with the Pacman push as was once planned.

Here is an idea - get a credible star that could make waves and PROMOTE that star the right way. It aint rocket science, in theory, at least.

TNA (a.k.a. Jeff Jarrett) & the Titans negotiated an agreement overnight to modify the restraining order terms against Adam 'Pacman' Jones, pending judicial approval.

Excerpted from The Tennessean:

Pacman Jones will not wrestle, have physical contact of any kind or be involved in any other action that puts him at risk of injury, under terms of an agreement reached late Friday between the suspended cornerback and the Titans.

The deal still must be approved by a Williamson County Chancery Court judge because earlier Friday a different judge granted the Titans a temporary restraining order against Jones.

The agreement seeks to modify that order, which prevents Jones from providing any “wrestling” or “performance services.”

Judge Jeffrey S. Bivens was scheduled to hear the motion at 10 a.m. today.

Okay...I'm probably missing something but exactly why can't TNA use the fact that Frank Wycheck competed in TNA two months ago to argue that the Titans are creating a double standard and are just trying to screw Pacman over?
