Mike wanna be Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Damn, Vinny should have had Steve Smith to throw to for his entire career. 15-10 Panthers as they miss the two-point convert. Question: How many "good" games does Vinny need to take the starting job away from Carr? And why on Earth did that Arizona cornerback just stop? Was he unaware of who he was covering, thinking "Well if he overthrew me, there's NO way there's a receiver that outran me to the...oops."
NoCalMike Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Dallas is doing surprisingly well. After their debacle last week I thought they'd be exposed this week, but they look to a be the real deal win or lose. Well it also could be New England being exposed a bit to, especially their defense. Their secondary is questionable if the front seven are not pressuring the QB. A lot of "experts" said going into this game that it could be a high-scoring affair because both team's defenses are overrated. EDIT: Oops, well looks like Dallas's secondary shall be exposed more....lol.
MillenniumMan831 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Cleveland Browns...Contender or Pretender? Their offense is contender caliber w/ D.A. making fewer brain farts every week. However, their defense is putrid. Josh Cribbs is an X factor as a Hester Jr returning kicks. Since they're in the AFC, I'll say pretender.
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 I really miss NFL Primetime. They presented a much better story for each game with the highlights. NBC shows about 15 seconds of highlights for each game and spends half an hour running crap like these stupid Keith Olbermann segments.
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 No miracle for Dallas this week.

I even liked the tunes ESPN played in the background of the highlights.
Kawalimus Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Not only that how can anyone stand Cris Collinsworth's commentary? He is awful.
NoCalMike Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 the only thing I don't miss about Primetime is Berman. Other then that, yeah primetime was way better.
randomguy Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Dallas looks like a legit good team but NE looks like a legit great team. I can't take much away from Dallas other than to say that NE is flat out better. The NE defense is not the best but the combination of offense, defense and special teams is pretty scary.
NoCalMike Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 No miracle for Dallas this week. Well not if you are a Dallas fan.
Vampiro69 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Tim Rattay can kiss my ass. There has to be someone better then him on the waiver wire.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Guys, NBC was putting out a much better program than the Booyahs were last year. Collinsworth is one of the better analysts. It's the silver-haired douchebag that's to blame for the quality taking such a precipitous fall. I'm sure this cross-promotion will get his MSNBC show out of third place, though. Puttin' that highlight exclusivity to good use.

Certainly not their best performance, but giving up 20 to one of the best offenses in the league isn't too shabby.

Puttin' that highlight exclusivity to good use. While I do enjoy Olberman's Countdown show on occassion, I really do feel he comes off as very out of place on a Football show. Sure, he has ESPN on his resume, but he doesn't come off as ESPN-Olberman, he comes off as MSNBC Countdown Olberman trying to get in jabs.
Vampiro69 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Olberman sucks. Nobody wants to hear his "witty" remarks about Testeverde being teammates with Walter Camp.
NoCalMike Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Well, we now know that New England and Indy are on a seperate level then the rest of the league through Week 6. The bigger question is, where does this leave the Cowboys? They haven't played particularly tough teams to this point, and their secondary seems to get exposed more and more every week, but then again winning IS winning, and they are still 5-1. I think Dallas will remain a question mark until they play more of the good teams in the league. Personally, I don't feel any particular NFC Team is on their own level yet. You have the Good teams, the wannabees/almost-theres, and the god awful, with some teetering between one of those descriptions.
Hawk 34 Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Olbermann sucks. Nobody wants to hear his "witty" remarks about Testaverde being teammates with Walter Camp. No one wants to read Marvin prattle on about the RAVENS and KYLE BOLLER or put up with pages of dolts lamenting their fantasy misfortunes but we're stuck with that like we are with NBC's insistence on putting over their golden boy, quality be damned.

I would take them against any other team in the conference. I can't see anyone else representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Kawalimus Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 It is obvious they are trying to expose Olberman to more conservative audience. I like Olberman but I don't want him on this show, it hurts him more than helps him but those network execs don't get that!! I bet Olberman does and I'd would be surprised if he wasn't begged to do this. Olberman is somebody I wanna hear talking about Politics not football.
tominator89 Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I don't want to hear Olberman talk about anything.

Guest Vitamin X Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I'm not. NFL 2k5 was the last NFL video game I really enjoyed. I tried to go back to Madden after they got bought out, but it wasn't the same. Speaking of video game football, there's no way in hell the Pats lose to anyone other than maybe Indy this year. Indy is still on the level of the rest of the NFL, considering they had close calls with teams the likes of the Titans and Bills. They can be beat, but it looks like only on the road. New England has way too many weapons on offense, a sick enough defense to put pressure on any team, and a good enough special teams to keep them in any game if by any chance any time decides to get "close".
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Well the Patriots, while they did not have close calls like other teams, did let Cleveland Browns hang around for long before snuffing out that flame late in the 4th.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 You ever seen a cat play with its food just before it kills and eats it? The Patriots are that cat. I haven't seen a team dominate the regular season like this since the `98 Vikings. What the league needs now is a Jamal Anderson.
Slayer Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Saints, 28 Seahawks, doesn't matter 'cause they're not sackin' the Brees

So they do lose to Miami in the regular season like the Vikings lost to Tampa. Joseph Addai or Willie Parker can be the Jamal Anderson.
Kinetic Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 The NFC West is making the NFC South look respectable.
strummer Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Have to love the Seahawks doing draw plays and short passes when they're down 18 with 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter
