CanadianChris Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Damn, now I need Nebraska and a lot of points in Lexington.
Guest Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I took a huge risk in trying to get ranked again. Thanks Rutgers, now Nebraska needs to turn in the same shitty effort that they did last week.
Gert T Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 All right UTBroward, at least its simple and we know who we have to root for. Good Luck!
iggymcfly Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Well I'm having a really bad week pick-wise (3-7 thus far), but I'll still pick up a win as long as K-State holds on. Go Wildcats.
Vampiro69 Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Well I'm having a really bad week pick-wise (3-7 thus far), but I'll still pick up a win as long as K-State holds on. Go Wildcats. Hell no! Go Cowboys!
Hawk 34 Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Well, damn. I don't think I'll win a single H2H game at all.
Danville_Wrestling Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Thank god for Florida's late touchdown against UK which bumped up the combined score to 76 and giving me a win after the Seminoles blew the lead against Miami. That keeps my marginal bowl hopes alive and it's nice to actually win a tiebreaker after losing so many of them this year (the exception was the #2 tiebreaker win a few weeks ago). It'd be nice, though, if I could pick enough games right to where I didn't need the tiebreak.
iggymcfly Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Gah! I checked the score on the KSU/OSU game with 0:08 left, saw that K-State was up 39-38 and assumed that I'd won. (There was no Gamecast or anything since it wasn't televised.) Then I look back at the screen later and find out that Oklahoma State made a field goal with 0:02 left. With my 6-4 loss or whatever I end up at this week, I'm probably dropping out of the Top 10 for a while.

Bored Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Posted October 21, 2007 Now that's more like it. After the incredibly dull Week 7 everything gets blown to pieces again this week. Seven Top 10 teams go down and 14 of the 20 match-ups were won by the lower ranked team. This has of course caused a shuffling of the deck in the Top 10 and plenty of CONTROVERSY~. First off due to so many high ranked teams with similar records losing we actually have three teams who lost this week move up in the Top 10 while a team that won moved down in the rankings. Aww that takes me back to the glory days of the first year of the contest with the intentionally fucked up formula. It actually isn't that hard to figure why certain things happened if you think long enough about it. But after all the carnage Cuban Linx continues to survive and remain the undisputed, undefeated #1. And finally I've won three in a row, move to 5-3 and I can't get a "vote"??? FUCKING BULLSHIT! 1. South Carolina - Cuban Linx 2.95 2. Oklahoma - Secret Agent 4.15 3. N.C. State - AboveAverage 4.65 4. LSU - teke184 5.6 5. Nebraska - Mecca 5.95 6. Texas - UTBroward 6.45 7. Florida State - King 8.1 8. Syracuse - CanadianChris 8.4 9. Miami of Ohio - Hawk 34 9.3 10. Boise State - Vitamin X 9.5 Other Receiving Votes: Ball State (Vampiro69), Buffalo (Carnival), Georgia Tech (iggymcfly), Hawaii (Fokai)
Cuban Linx Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 God bless LSU and TD's with 1 second remaining. My hopes of running the table remain alive, although now that i'm thinking about going the full season undefeated i'm bound to fuck up sooner or later.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 I haven't been paying attention to the season and don't care to figure out this hippie bowl thing -- am I playing for pride yet?
AboveAverage484 Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Cool, I lost and was rewarded by moving up a spot!
Hawk 34 Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 I'm stunned, I can't believe I'm still ranked. I stopped paying attention to this in the middle of the afternoon when I assumed I had completely lost but I ended up losing by TB? I knew I regreted selecting a low number the instant I sent it to Bored.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 RANKED! Yes! Finally! If only I had beaten LSU at the beginning of the year also, I'd have wins over a #1 and a #4. Although of course that #4 I beat is now up to a #3 (WTF!), but hey I'll take it. My first bowl bid!
