NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?

Recommended Posts

Well that judge just made a total joke of himself.

The multiple felony having guys that actually were going around with the dogs, killed alot of dogs and were the ones that took in funds from winning the dog fights got 18 and 21 months.

The guy that gave them money and according to the plea killed some dogs once with no priors got 23 months.

Yeah. His celebrity had nothing to do with the fair sentencing there.

Why should I care? He isn't ever playing on my favorite team again, even if he just got probation.

He will be some other posters QB eventually.

According to the one legal analyst chatting on ESPN.com now, it looks like Vick screwed himself when it came to sentencing. There was a point system and he was at 13, which put him at the 12-18 month range. But by faililng a drug test and not completely cooperating with the feds until after a failed lie detector test, the judge added 2 points which pushes it into the 18-24 month range.

If that is indeed the case, I don't see how you can blame the judge on this one. Vick was in a position to get less than the other two and cost himself that opportunity.

If that is the case, the fine, it makes sense.

On the surface you have three people charged with the same crime, two with priors getting a lighter sentence than the one with no prior.

Punishments are usually more harsh for funding and organizing an illegal activity than just participating in it. That's always been the case with these sorts of activities.

As another poster mentioned, the failed drug test and lying to prosecutors really hurt his chance for a lighter sentence. He dug himself a deeper hole.

In principle, it is though.

Obviously, the end result crime that was committed differed in severity, but he still went to jail for being a mastermind and the person behind the crimes. Vick might not have been the mastermind, but without Michael Vick none of this would have taken place. He deserved equal to the others, priors or not.

And a guy that goes behind the counter and steals all the cash out a register, gets caught and does it 8 more times won't get the same amount of time as a guy caught stealing some gum with no priors. They both stole something.

They were all charged with the same thing in this case, so yes, without the info that pinjockey put up there, it would be bullshit for Vick with no priors to get more time than those with priors. Hell, I am pretty sure one of them was violating probation also.

But with what pinjockey said, it makes sense.

You all might not have heard this, but apparently Chris Redman was selling insurance last year. See, repeating that over and over will make this pretty funny.

I'm more concerned about how much fried chicken Michael Vick is going to eat in prison. WITH HIS OWN KIND.

I jsut caught the Blank interview, and now some Vick talk right now. Tony sounds like he wants to cry.

"Your time isn't your own! How will he stay in shape? It's terrible!"

Just admit it, marketing monolith. He isn't coming back.

After tonight, I hope nobody talks about Michael Vick ever again. The for and against Michael Vick crowds today were so unbearble, with the worst being Jim Rome calling him " a dog muderer" . Its so fucking outrageous its actually funny in a way. Just let him serve his two years and be done with it. Oh ESPN.
