I liked SoulDecision. They only had one big hit (Faded) and one minor hit (Oooh It's Kind of Crazy) here in the States. I saw them as part of a dreadful radio station concert (Q Holiday Concert '00 if memory serves correctly) where they were one of two decent acts on a bill of eight or nine bands (The other being Sister Hazel, another band worth mentioning in this thread). I think SoulDecision is kind of the missing link between NSync (or any of the boy band of the time) and Maroon 5

I actually saw them at a similar concert (92 Pro FM Jingle Mingle in December of '00) and they did a great live set. I'll never forget that they covered Bryan Adams' "Summer Of '69" during it, with the reasoning that they went to the same high school as him, so they wanted to do one of his hit songs, and it sounded really good. I kinda wish they'd have had it available on a CD, or at least as a download. I had DL'd most of the tracks from the second album from a few years ago, but wasn't as much of a fan as I was the first album.

Eh, I honestly don't mind Everclear too much. That said, they could easily have never existed and nobody would have cared. I think they're decent at what they do, happy-go-lucky pop with pretty damn depressing sing-along lyrics, but they're not amazing or legendary or anything like that.

I enjoy a couple of their singles but you're kind of right. I don't think I'd be particularly upset if they were erased from history and I'm the biggest fan of mediocre 90s alt rock on this board!

 

Oddly enough, they were my older brother's favorite band for a couple years in the late 90s. He went to a concert (I think it was some third tier package tour like SnoCore or something) with the odd bill of Everclear, Soul Coughing and a pre-Fergie Black Eyed Peas opening up.
