the max Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I think next year I'm gonna name some hockey legends. There are a bunch of them that are nearly kicking the bucket. How's Wayne Gretzky doing? Fine. I'm thinking like Ted Linsday, Ted Kennedy, Jean Bealiveau, Johnny Bauer, Gordie Howe, even Serge Savard. I should add Peter Zezel. Dude nearly added 120 pounds since retirement. Add in Milt Schmidt. He turned 90 this year.
treble Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Zezel looks like someone from the Sopranos. His head is massive.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Stanley Kamel - (Monk's psychiatrist on Monk) I remember this guy playing someone I was really familiar with, but for the life of me, I can't remember who it was. You watch 90210/Melrose Place?
CanadianChris Posted April 13, 2008 Author Report Posted April 13, 2008 That's it, it was Tony Marchette.
CanadianGuitarist Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I think next year I'm gonna name some hockey legends. There are a bunch of them that are nearly kicking the bucket. How's Wayne Gretzky doing? He's like 45. Walter would be a good pick, but I'd almost feel worse about picking him than Wayne.
treble Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I picked him, but he didn't look too bad when they showed him singing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' during a Jays game last weekend.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I think next year I'm gonna name some hockey legends. There are a bunch of them that are nearly kicking the bucket. How's Wayne Gretzky doing? The head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Red Baron Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 They came close to making the playoffs Considering that the first 20 or so games, the team had no goaltending.
CanadianChris Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 I picked him, but he didn't look too bad when they showed him singing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' during a Jays game last weekend. My wife sat right behind him at a Leafs-Sabres game last month. She said he looked terrific.
treble Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Well, I can always hope for a car accident, I guess.
Obi Chris Kenobi Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Think I'm going to go through the year without a single death, people on my list must feel blessed.
CanadianChris Posted April 20, 2008 Author Report Posted April 20, 2008 Think I'm going to go through the year without a single death, people on my list must feel blessed. I'm working on my second consecutive year with no points. At this rate, people will be sending me money to pick them.

Youth N Asia Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 I haven't picked a death yet. I need to research who's actually sick every year and work from there...not just guess
NYU Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 You know, I've picked Tim Allen the past three years. I know the year I don't, he's going to kick it. He's due to have a John Ritter type of death. I just know it.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 There's only one way to find out. Next year...we should test this theory.
NYU Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 Then we'll never get the Home Improvement reunion special. I just can't do that.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Judy Grable - lost to the Fabulous Moolah in the 1956 NWA tournament for the new Women's championship
Youth N Asia Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Anyone take Ted Kennedy? Sounds like he has a brain tumor
RepoMan Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Anyone take Ted Kennedy? Sounds like he has a brain tumor I did. Looks like my year and a half of being shut out is about to end. I'm sad we're about to lose the arch-liberal of my life time.
JN News Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Former women's wrestler, Penny Banner died this year.
MillenniumMan831 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 For no technical reason at all, I feel very confident about my Scott Norton selection.
Retard Girl Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Anyone take Ted Kennedy? Sounds like he has a brain tumor on the news, they're talking like he's already dead.
CanadianChris Posted May 22, 2008 Author Report Posted May 22, 2008 Well, it sound like it's terminal, so I can see that.
