Hey - I have a tumor!

More accurately, two. One in each forearm.

 

I have lipomas, which are fat cell masses, and apparently have zero percent of ever becoming cancerous.

 

It's also an optional, unnecessary surgery if I decide I want to get them removed.

 

That's the good news, but it's still very strange to have a very hard pea-sized lump that I can pinch and move in both of my forearms just slightly below the wrist.

 

Anybody else ever have something like this? Scared the shit out of me for a day or two there... luckily WebMD and a few other sites eased my fears before I saw the Dr.

My friend has had this happen to him about 3 months back. He had them removed and also found out they were non-cancerous. Just this past weekend, he found two more in both his forearms, just underneath his elbows. Kinda shitty cause he again wants them removed, so he has to pay for more surgery.

Do you mean in the lower left corner? I have one in the left and right... I've always assumed they were saliva-makers, for lack of a better word, since I was young. Because when I put my tounge under them sometimes it feels cold.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Further up on each side, just under the top back molars with my mouth open(feeling with my tounge), I have them as well. Those ones I swear I can feel saliva running out of. Surely, you guys all have them.

If it's solid and feels like it's attached to something, it might be more serious.

 

I'm guessing you can move it, though, if you thought it was a bb. Yeah, apparently they are pretty common and most people just don't even realize.
