alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I'll list my choices eventually. Needless to say, there are going to be a lot of pissed off players in the West. Watch them vote Shaq into the other center spot in the East. I'll bet you anything.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Here is how I voted West: G-Manu Ginobili G-Brandon Roy F-Shawn Marion F-Tim Duncan C-Chris Kaman East: G-Chancey Billups G-Ray Allen F-Kevin Garnett F-Lebron James C-Dwight Howard
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I like KAM's choices the best so far. I actually should've done the same thing on mine, except I don't think I'd vote Duncan at F for this season. There are other players at the position having better season in the West.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I voted earlier for all Knicks, but since they suck ass here's my new ballot: G: Jason Kidd G: Dwyane Wade F: LeBron James F: Kevin Garnett C: Dwight Howard G: Steve Nash G: Kobe Bryant F: Carmelo Anthony F: Tim Duncan C: Chris Kaman
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 OK, let's go with: East G: Jason Kidd G: Richard Hamilton F: LeBron James F: Kevin Garnett C: Dwight Howard West G: Chris Paul G: Kobe Bryant F: Tim Duncan F: Shawn Marion C: Marcus Camby
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 HAHAHA No tacos for you, LA
Guest Report post Posted January 12, 2008 That sucked. I nearly forgot, with all the taco stuff and all, but Bynum's postgame interview on FSN was, uh, not so good. He started talking about "Lamar grabbing all the fuckin'...whoops." Well, hopefully he doesn't get suspended like Shaq did when he got caught saying that particular word. It's ok, though, I still love the big lug. He's come a long way from getting into it with Shaq after trading dunk-ons. Along that line, I can't believe that the Lakers have the 3rd best record in the West. Huge surprise. Just gotta fix that road record and we can pick up games on the 5th spot, cause I don't think we'll keep up with the Suns.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Good thing that the Pistons beat the Spurs to avoid a three-game losing streak... I was rather disappointed by their performances against Boston (more in the 4th quarter than anything, but as was said before, the Pistons have always had problems with large centers, and the Celtics made the adjustment because the Pistons could not stop Glen Davis) and Dallas respectively (Why in the hell would you give Dirk any kind of room to shoot anything outside 20 feet???!). Now Charlotte presents a good test.. they are becoming a dangerous team to play, if a touch schizophrenic.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I doubt Bynum will get any punishment, it's a totally different situation. Shaq was cussing out the referees on live TV. I remember Rick Carlisle doing the same thing last year during a press conference, talking about the bench having "a shitload of points."
Guest Report post Posted January 12, 2008 No, he won't. I watched the clip again and both he and the interviewer were laughing after he finished up his sentence. THE LEAGUE won't do anything about it.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 He will get a fine, just like Shaq did(he didn't get suspended i don't believe).
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I remember watching that live, and I think that Shaq's second comment may have had as much to do with him getting fined as the first comment, if not more: Shaq: ... blah blah blah... the referees are trying to take over the fucking game... Announcer: Shaq, we're on live! Shaq: I don't give a shit! I think, by comparison, Bynum at least appeared to be immediately regretful, or so I've been led to understand. That may make a difference. Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Oh okay. That make sense. So the Hawks and Heat have to replay the final 51.9 seconds of their game because Shaq was given one extra foul. So the Heat have one less loss and the Hawks have one less win... ... you have got to be fucking kidding me. The funny thing is that Shaq may not even be available to play these extra seconds, he's spending a considerable amount of time in suits this season.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted January 12, 2008 HAHAHA No tacos for you, LA Wait, what was this all about?
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Surprised you're not aware, as an ex-Lakers fan: Lakers are one of those teams where all the fans get tacos if they hold their opponent under a hundred. They gave up a hundred with seconds to go in the game.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 The Bucks actually fouled with 15 seconds left and the score 109-99. That was the part I found funny.

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Back to this Atlanta thing for a second: wouldn't it make more sense to do the replay after the game that night, instead of before it? It just seems like it would be hard to have the fans come in cold and provide an overtime environment, so to speak. I know that's not at the forefront of the league's thinking, just saying. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 My all-star votes: EC: G - Kidd G - Billups F - LBJ F - KG C - Howard WC: G - Paul G - Bryant F - Duncan F - Boozer C - Yao It's all relative of course. Votes are pretty straightforward on the East side, it's tough to leave out Butler, but I can't justify not voting for LeBron or KG, they're the two best individual players in the conference, and even if KG isn't putting up career numbers he's been so great this year, especially on defense, he's almost singlehandedly made the Celtics one of the best defensive teams in the league. I can't justify a vote for Wade when he missed a couple weeks and even with him out there his team is absolutely terrible. West is a lot tougher to call. You can make strong cases for Nash, Baron, Iverson, and Williams at guard, but ultimately I think Paul and Bryant are having the best seasons. The West guard spots are definitely the biggest toss-up though, Paul has to start IMO, he's having arguably the best season statistically of anyone in the league and he's got his team in contention, but any one of those guys could get the other spot and I wouldn't have too much of an argument. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Those Kings are a scrappy bunch, I've got to say that for them. Good to at least get one win on this road trip. Which is probably all we'll get. Golden State tommorrow night. Surprised (though not necessarily upset) that Jamaal Tinsley wasn't in there down the stretch. He must have hurt himself again, although I didn't catch that in the commentary. Diener really needed the burn, and he delivered in a big way. Hopefully he sticks in the rotation now. Also good to see Marquis Daniels elevate on a couple plays.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I'd probably put Brandon Roy in the mix ahead of Deron Williams. Williams has better numbers, but the Jazz have been underachieving, and I'd sooner reward Roy for leading the Blazers to the season they're having so far. JHawk 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Back to this Atlanta thing for a second: wouldn't it make more sense to do the replay after the game that night, instead of before it? It just seems like it would be hard to have the fans come in cold and provide an overtime environment, so to speak. I know that's not at the forefront of the league's thinking, just saying. Precedent says do it before the scheduled game. I'm actually glad they went "You're right, that was bullshit" and ordered the replay. It's not like it was a judgment call. 20,000 people in attendance and how many people watching on TV, somebody had to think "Where's the missing foul?" Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 This Atlanta-Miami do over is complete BS as far as I'm concerned. You can't replicate the conditions of that game with cold players months later, it's just stupid. I'd be surprised if Shaq is even playing in March. And what if Atlanta, hypothetically, traded Marvin Williams for Andre Miller or something like that? Could Miller play? Fine the Hawks or something, but if the officials couldn't fix the problem at the time then tough shit, what's done is done. And it really pisses me off that every single time a team petitions the league based on shit the referees have blown Stern shoots it down, but because these were technically Hawks employees rather than league employees he recognizes the protest. I don't see the difference, a fuck up is a fuck up.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Protests can (and should) be ruled in favor of the protesting team when there's a rule violation, but not on a judgment call. Shaq didn't have six fouls. That is not a judgment call.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 T-DOT NIGGAS. Fuck that was an awesome game. So much drama from "Moon you FUCKED UP" to Calderon dropping the tre to Roy deflating to crowd. Double OT was madness, Moon making amends with the huge block and CB4 stepping it up.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 The Pistons are losing by 20 to the Knicks right now. Detroit's starters all look totally listless and out of it and yet Flip seems totally adamant about not letting any bench players get in for more than five minutes at a time. What the fuck.
