I figured that the two-hour Nashville Star (which I have no interest in watching... unless Jewel is in a bikini) had something to do with that.

 

Regardless, I'd still say that less talk, more action might help their ratings as opposed to showing us action in highlight form.

They need to adopt a similar feel to the original show. Even though we know it was taped, it felt live because the segments weren't all chopped up. Like last night with assault, there was no waiting period between turns, like all of a sudden Justice went from marking out for himself to back in the ready for the next guy 2 seconds later. Like we complained about in season one, there is too much garbage coming out of the contestants mouths. The cheerleader coach dogging the football guy was too much...oh yeah and fucking Rocky. We get it, you're short, you're spunky, you're scrappy...WE GET IT!

 

and don't get me started on green Titan.

 

also, did anyone else laugh when the football guy totally blew up Zen in the Gauntlet? When Zen came out I was like WTF is he gonna do here?

My first thought when Zen was in the leadoff spot was "he's going to get steamrolled". Isn't the idea to have the gladiators deliver the big hits on smaller people? I felt bad for the guy.

My first thought when I saw Zen run out there was, "No way, they're not really doing that are they?" Next was "Don't make any sort of move, just run him over." I laughed when Landon did exactly that.
