That totally made me laugh in the beginning of the show during the first of the stupid boxing montages where they mentioned something about how one of the David's will join the many successful winners of the title.....flash to shots of Kelly Clarkson, DAUGHTRY and Carrie Underwood. They so want to pretend that Taylor didn't happen. DialIdol has predicted that David Cook is goin win they have predicted the winner since Season 4: Carrie vs Bo season. They've been right each season.

Unfortunately, you still have the Hit Single, and it of course favours the Archuletas of the world, and based off of that, we're probably getting Archie as the winner and I will honour my vow of not watching American Idol again.

Why they bother to force that on the nation escapes me. I thought Cook was better last night. Archuleta's version of "Don't Let the Sun" was well sung, but exactly the same and really he brought nothing to the table with it. And I hate his version of Imagine.

She has some great legs She also sang George Michael's song better the George Michael. Brooke sounded great with Graham Nash it looked like she finally got on Zoloft it was nice to see her not having a nervous breakdown.

I don't think that he benefitted by losing, just from having good catchy pop rock songs written for him, which if Cook gets, he'll be fine.

In all fairness, Katie Webber was the first obscure Idol name that popped into my head. Had I actually thought about it, I'd have probably said that Antonella chick. I think Archuleta would have benefitted immensely by winning, whereas I don't think Cook really needed to. Having his name attached to that insipid songwriting-contest single will only serve to harm his (ahem) rock cred.
