I don't say it often but Marvin and Bob Barron were right!

I didn't even know Over Her Dead Body was coming out this week. I thought it was coming out next weekend for some reason. And I guess I may be the only guy mildly surprised to see Strange Wilderness do so poorly. I didn't think it'd get #1 or anything but I was expecting the stoner demographic to get it to #6 or #7

No one needs the top 32, mole. How She Move was actually supposed to be really good, it was a Canadian movie.

Poor Woody Allen, Cassandra's Dream is going to be the biggest flop of his career.

Hannah Montana being on top should surprise no one...honestly, I don't know why they don't keep it in theaters longer than a week. If the concerts were selling out within seconds everywhere, surely the film would rake in giant cash as well.

And since it hasn't been mentioned yet, the Hannah Montana concert had the highest per-theater average of any wide release movie ever.

EVER.

*shoots self*

No, wait, that's a stupid idea!

*shoots as many little kids as he can find*

Disney officially announced they can play it as long as they want.

The biggest PSA for any wide release is suspect, since 680 theatres isn't that wide a release, and they charged $15 for tickets.

That's a bitch move. One of their ploys was someone along the lines of if you couldn't get tickets to the concert you could make it up to your kid this way and see it...at $15 to $18 a pop

My problem with How She Move is that she's supposed to be saving money so she can go to medical school, but she's dancing around, destroying cars. Seems like you'd have more cash without blowing up cars by jumping on them. At least, that's what I got from the trailer.

Ahh, I wanted it so I posted it.

Go fuck yourself.

Now that's not professional!

Jonah's probably the funniest part of Strange Wilderness, even though the accent they give him is horrible.

As I said in the thread, Strange Wilderness is only funny if you're baked out of your mind. Otherwise, it only has a few laughs

I was wrong. I thought it would make 50 million opening weekend. 30 mill is still a lot but I thought it was going to be a lot more.

I figure Fools Gold will be #1 next weekend despite not really deserving to be based on the Trailer I saw. The only way its not is if Hannah Montana stays at #1 since I dont know of another movie opening next weekend...

that Martin Lawrence movie opens next weekend...not that it's going to do big numbers or anything, just saying.

please, BP all around America will push it into $25+ million.

I am still confused as HELL how "Black Knight" made any money. If that movie can make 11 million on an opening weekend, surely a movie with Mike Epps can bring in 20 million!

Although Monique might be enough to drive it back down to 15 million. Then again, it will be up against the powerhouse The Hottie and the Nottie which stars Paris Hilton as HOT and Christine Lakin as...NOT. Yeah, I don't get it either.

It would be impossible for the movie to make $50 million, Marvin. It was only playing on 683 screens. Fools Gold will probably eke out a number one victory, since I see it having a 20 million opening
