Brocklock 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 The Flair/McMahon match from Raw had me thinking What are the bad matches that while you knew they were technically bad, you still enjoyed: Hogan/McMahon - Wrestlemania 19 Taker/Heidenreich - Royal Rumble 05 Hunter/Nash - Bad Blood 03 Cornette/Paul E. - Great American Bash 89 Austin/Vince - St. Valentine's Day Massacre 99 Vince/Shane - Wrestlemania 17 Flair/Vince - Raw 3/17/08 Taker/Khali - Smackdown 8/18/06 Charles Robinson/Gorgeous George - Slamboree
spman 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 The Doomsday Cage Main Event at Uncensored 1996 and the ME of the Heroes of Wrestling Show are, to me, the most hilarious matches of all time. They are just so utterly ridiculous that I can't even fathom that, at least in the case of the Cage Match, someone somewhere booked it thinking it was a good idea. The Heroes of Wrestling match is spectacular just for Jake Roberts' antics.

PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 Goldberg vs. Lesnar from WrestleMania XX, by far. Junkyard Battle Royal from Bash at the Beach 99. Hogan vs. Warrior from Halloween Havoc 98. Undertaker vs. Undertaker from Summer Slam 94. Bigelow, Booger, Headshrinkers vs. Four Doinks from Survivor Series 1993. Any of the TNA reverse battle royals. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 Four posts and the Gimmick Battle Royal from WrestleMania X-7 hasn't been mentioned? For that matter, the Raven/Big Show/Kane Hardcore title match from the same show would also be a good answer. I'm a sucker for blindfold matches. Sure they always suck but they're kind of fun in an odd way and the crowd is always really into them. My favorite blindfold match was actually one I saw in person at any indy show in '02/'03ish between Brian Black (who would go onto WWE semi-fame as UPN Executive, Palmer Cannon) and evil heel commissioner, Alexander Worthington. The one between Rick Martel and Jake Roberts was also kind of entertaining.
tekcop 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 Hogan/McMahon - Wrestlemania 19 Taker/Heidenreich - Royal Rumble 05 Hunter/Nash - Bad Blood 03 Austin/Vince - St. Valentine's Day Massacre 99 Vince/Shane - Wrestlemania 17 Flair/Vince - Raw 3/17/08 Taker/Khali - Smackdown 8/18/06 I wouldn't call any of these matches bad at all. WM19 was a fun, crazy, sports-entertainmenty brawl. Taker/Heidenreich had some blown spots, but they covered pretty well. It's probably the worst match you have listed, but it's not something I'd call actively bad. I haven't seen Hunter/Nash, but I though the general consensus was that it was really decent. Austin/Vince is a classic, with Vince taking two or three crazy bumps and the crowd going nuts. Vince/Shane is really good, too. Flair/Vince from last Monday wasn't as good as their '02 match, but outside of Vince's really shitty punches, it was flowed pretty well and had a great ending. I'm guessing Taker/Khali is their Last Man Standing match. I remember watching that and thinking for the first time that Khali actually had potential in the WWE. That was another match with a good finish, as Taker just wrapped the chair around Khali's head for the 10 count.
Papacita 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Yeah I loved Goldberg/Brock. That was great. Even though I think the match was decent to passable, I'd toss Big Show/Batista from Hammerstein in there for similar reasons. Diesel vs. Mabel from SummerSlam 95 is laugh out loud funny at certain times.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 I just remembered a semi-forgotten so bad, it's good match that I think might be my favorite. Sting and Vampiro Vs Lex Luger and Ric Flair Falls Count Anywhere match from the Spring Break '00 Nitro. One of the few entertaining moments to come out of the Kevin Sullivan era in early '00. How can you not love a match where Sting hits Lex Luger with a bowl of bean dip?

evilhomer 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Why no mentions of The Rock Vs. Hulk Hogan, at Wrestlemania 18? I think the theme that's going here is "so bad it was good" ie: laughibly bad. Rock/Hogan was bad in terms of technical wrestling (I think a grand total of 2 wrestling moves were used through the whole match), but the match itself was wonderfully put together and the two of them performed perfectly. The crowd becoming the third performer in the match made it that much better.

BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2008 There's a match from Nitro circa 2000 with the Mamalukes vs. Knobbs/Finlay which while terrible and hardly noteworthy, I love simply because David Flair, Daffeny, and Crowbar (doing his best Gordon Solie impression) are all on commentary just being completely random. Also funny to see the chaotic camera work as Flair at one point gets on the table and starts dancing in front of Ms. Hancock and match is completely ignored.
