Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Santino is getting a bodyguard - Derby City Wrestler Al Barone has been hired for the role. I guess he previously wrestled as Cyber Viking in IWA and Paul Leduc in the 1990's. I don't recall him looking all that imposing in DCW, I wonder if he'll be more Ralphus than Deisel. Atticus Chaos 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 So, now that Candice's injury looks likely to end her career, will she got back to foot porn? Who said she can't wrestle again? There's been a lot of talk that her collarbone injury is almost certainly career threatening. Once you break it, it's even more likely to break again (which is what happened in her first match back) and again after that.

foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Dave Taylor was future endeavored. So was Balls Mahoney. We may need a new thread on this one. Um..no? Neither one of those guys meant anything at all. If a mass firing begins, then sure, make a thread. But for Balls and Taylor? It's just not worth it. If Mike Knox and Snitsky both make it through cuts, I'll be shocked (and pissed).

foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Mike Knox would a weird release since he has become a regular in the last few weeks on ECW. It wouldn't be the first time someone has gotten fired just as things were starting to get better for them. Plus, it's ECW. On a completely different note: The WWE has way too many pay per views. In a couple months, we are going to have three over a course of 6 weeks. Personally (and I think we all agree), I think there should be 10, maybe 11 pay per views each year. It would allow for longer build-ups and therefore make the shows more appealing, I think. However, it doesn't look like the WWE wants to cut down at all in regards to the PPV schedule. So, if there has to be 14 or 15 pay per views each year, I think they should stop overloading the shows with major matches and start having feuds end on an every other month schedule. In other words, most of the major superstars would only appear on every other pay per view so that their matches could be hyped for longer periods of time. This would also decrease the number of matches that get repeated 2 or 3 times a year on PPV (for example, Edge vs Batista from last year). Another result of this change would be that more mid-card wrestlers would get to have matches on PPV. For example, Backlash could have had the following card: Orton vs Cena vs JBL vs Triple H Big Show vs Khali Carlito/Santino vs Rhodes/Holly Divas Tag Match Kane vs Chavo Finlay vs Palumbo (gives them something to do) Jericho vs Umaga And then Judgment Day(?) could be: Edge vs Undertaker Miz/Morrison vs Jesse/Festus MVP vs Matt Hardy Regal vs Jeff Hardy HBK vs Batista Mickie James vs Beth Pheonix Kennedy vs Punk (for MITB) ..or something like that. It might not make as much money for the WWE initially, but I think having feuds be built up over 2 months rather than one would make PPV matches more important and exciting. We can only see so many combinations of Triple H, Cena, and Orton for the WWE Title, so having only 6-8 WWE Title matches a year rather than 12+ solves the problem of repetition (and the "who cares?" attitude that comes along with it). Thoughts?

I'm sure that WWE will take that into deep consideration after those shows earn them way too many dollars.

Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Dave Meltzer is reporting that Randy Orton was involved in an incident during the European tour where he ended up throwing food on some hotel employees who woke him up early. Meltzer says he'll have more info on more incidents during the tour involving Orton which probably contributed to him losing the belt to Triple H last night. foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 The WWE has way too many pay per views. In a couple months, we are going to have three over a course of 6 weeks... Thoughts? I'm sure that WWE will take that into deep consideration after those shows earn them way too many dollars. Obviously there aren't too many PPV's from their standpoint; I meant from a fan's standpoint. I think they should stop overloading the shows with major matches and start having feuds end on an every other month schedule. In other words, most of the major superstars would only appear on every other pay per view so that their matches could be hyped for longer periods of time. How do you expect the PPV to sell, if the stars are not on it? There will be stars on every Pay Per View. I just think its stupid to load up every single one with the 15 biggest stars and not let anybody else ever get a match. I mean, look at who they have that could be in major matches: Cena Orton Batista JBL Undertaker Edge HBK Jericho Triple H MVP Big Show Kane Jeff Hardy Umaga Kennedy Matt Hardy Finlay CM Punk That's 18 guys right there that could all be in very hyped, main event level matches this year..do they really all need to be on every pay per view? I think it would be better to have 9 or 10 of them, along with 9 or 10 midcard guys on each show, rather than trying to build up a match for every one of them within 4 (or even as little as 2) weeks. RepoMan 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 - Randy Orton had another incident on the recent European tour. Orton was upset that the hotel staff woke him up earlier than he scheduled. Orton then put clothes on, took his food from room service, went down the hall and threw the food on the staff that woke him up. Orton reportedly laughed after the incident and went back to his room. - When the Raw crew landed in Portugal, there was an incident where a fan grabbed Maria. This apparently scared her a lot. She was about to make a formal complaint when Umaga overheard the story and demanded to know who did it. Umaga never found the guy, but Maria was physically shaken over the incident. - Rey Mysterio is being advertised for Smackdown House Shows in June. Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 The Ultimate Warrior was doing an interview for a Seattle radio station this morning and suggested a match between him and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 25. "You know what man, next year is WrestleMania 25. You know when it's your 25th wedding anniversary, you gotta do something that is significant. You gotta do something that stands out from all the other anniversaries. McMahon vs. Warrior: WrestleMania 25. That would be awesome! Instead of our weird attitudes towards one another, let's let it out!"
