There's no reason for Punk to get beaten clean the night after the biggest win of his career. It wasn't like he lost to some methodical set-up. He got out of the Walls and then fell victim to an out-of-nowhere Codebreaker. You'd almost consider it a fluke, but it's probably just to keep people looking strong.
