Frankie Williams Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 The second match of the show is Barry Horowiz vs. The Blue Angel, which is Owen Hart under a mask pre-Blue Blazer.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I'm almost through it. Good show, IMO. Most of the matches are fairly long, even the quasi-jobber matchups. It was interesting to see Gorilla/Graham praise a relatively unknown masked wrestler, even moreso knowing who that wrestler was. The show also has Curt Hennig before they adopted the "Mr. Perfect" gimmick. You have to love the under-the-breath comments about Hennig finding a tougher caliber of competition.
Guest Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Good show by 80's standards. Rougeau's/Hart's was kinda disappointing.
cabbageboy Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Wasn't this show on a while back as well? I know I saw that Blue Angel vs. Horowitz match and thought it ruled. Horowitz was a hell of a good worker, it's a shame he's mainly thought of as a jobber.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I think this is the Horowitz/Blue Angel match that was on that Best of WWF comp set that was floating around the 'net a couple years back.
Brett Wolverton Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 I was wondering if anyone on here knew who was handling the ring announcing for this house show. He sounds familiar and I've been wracking my brain for a few days now trying to figure out who he is. I think he might've handled the ring announcing for the Women of Wrestling promotion that David McClain did in 2000-2001, but I seem to remember McClain doing the announcing on his own. Does anyone know where I should know this guy from?
DrVenkman PhD Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Gorilla Monsoon and Superstar Billy Graham call the action, but that wasn't your question.
