PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 CNN showed "Obama" and "Clinton" wrestling but didnt mention they had the recorded clips shown earlier.. That's what WWE gets for catching CNN in a lie.
Guest Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 From Meltzer The show did a 3.0 rating last night, although the first hour dragged it down as it did a 3.3 in the normal two hours. Appears that last week's bad rating was no coincidence. If you can't get a good rating on a night when you run a tournament, well...
bob_barron Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Ratings aren't really that important to the overall scheme of things, so it's not something to worry about too much. And have tournaments had a positive effect on ratings before? Do we know if they're rating draws?

The ratings aren't quite as bad as they looked; they don't take into account the people who record Raw on DVR and watch it within a week. If you add those people to the numbers, the add around .3 to the final rating. Last week's rating of a 3.2 was really closer to 3.5 when you add in the people who didn't watch Raw live.

DrVenkman PhD Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Inconclusive!? Inconlusive my eye! I say fire them! It was pretty weird watching hours 1 and 2 from 9-11 (I decided not to trust my digital guide and assume The Score was showing Raw at 9pm, and they were) then watching the last hour when I got up this evening at 5. I had the common sense to read this thread up until the part of the show I already saw and noted people seemed upset, but others seemed to enjoy the show so far up to that point. It's free TV, guys. They are under no obligation to make Matt Hardy vs CM Punk a 13 minute classic. Of course it would be great if a free tv 8 match tournament on free TV that has nothing to do with the PPV they need to build to was PPV quality, but there is a certain reality that has to be adhered to. Overall, it was a fun show and I'm happy that they are finding ways to theme these special 3 hour shows they are given. Did anyone else find the audio really "tinny"? Maybe it was just The Score's first broadcast because the last hour I watched on the Tuesday replay sounded fine but hours 1 and 2 sounded like JR and King were talking into a can and I could barely hear the crowd. I noticed this on both the HD and standard feeds.
haVoc Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 It figures I've been really enjoying Raw and the ratings drop. I know ratings aren't everything, but Vince does have a history of panic mode syndrome. Also, it's been reported Steph wasn't at Raw and Michael Hayes is suspended. I wanna know who's been booking these shows.
