I've selected a great goaltender and a great defensemen. But neither of them are the kind of guy that you'd put on the cover of your media guide, or the kind of player that guarantees that the networks will want to show your games. Neither one is a face of a franchise.

 

But Sidney Crosby is that kind of guy and that kind of player. And while there are players with better career numbers, I'm going with what he's capable of doing rather than what he's already done.

 

The Northern Lights Five are proud to select Sidney Crosby with their 3rd round selection. In lieu of a picture, I'm going to ask everyone to watch the Stanley Cup - there's a slim chance that they might show him or talk about him there.

 

- 100+ points as a rookie

- led the league in scoring in his second year, becoming the youngest player in North American sports to do so

Baron's pick was taken away, and Goblin picked, so it's your picks and Smartly is a moron. I assume I get a pity pick after you pick, but regardless, it's definitely not Smartly's pick.

Again I could be wrong but doesn't Max pick after Gobblin? It also seems like Smartly made two picks in this round (unless he was supposed to and I missed it). The order is fucked and we really should start keeping better track of it.

And now the end of the round is all fucked up, Smartly seems to be picking whenever he wants, and I don't even know why I don't get my two picks at the end of the round...

Again, here's what happened. Smartly just kind of jumped in wherever, but it's Max's picks. Then I'm assuming I get an end-of-round pity pick, having inherited Baron's team and his missed pick. Then it's Goblin's pick again and the universe is in harmony.

What about my pity pick? It was partially my fault for not making it (but moreso the guy I asked to do it instead who didn't) but I explained that I wouldn't be able to make it and I got skipped without mention which fucked things up in the first place.
