Red Baron Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 These Lays Dill Pickle chips just plain out suck. There is no dill or pickle flavour at all.
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 These Lays Dill Pickle chips just plain out suck. There is no dill or pickle flavour at all. Which is surprising, considering how good their salt & vinegar and regular are. Worst of all, their barbecue are a mockery. Sweet is not BBQ. Amateurs.
King Kamala Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Lays BBQ chips taste worse as I grow older and I didn't even like 'em that much as a kid. Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips are where it's at.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Kettle Chips rule all. I like Sea Salt and Vinegar as one of the best, but fuck if most of them aren't awesome as well. Sun Chips are a big fave as well.
King Kamala Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Speaking of kettle chips, has anybody tried the new Lays Queso and Salsa Kettle Chips? I almost picked 'em up in the store the other day.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Miss Vickie's Jalapeno if I'm looking for a spicy chip always does the trick. Sometimes too well.
fazzle Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Kettle Chips are vile, disgusting beings that should be eradicated off the planet.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Surely you jest! And you can't mean ALL Kettle Chips in existence, or just the brand? I fuckin' love the brand. This one is the one I mentioned earlier: YUM. The vinegar makes it tangy.
King Kamala Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I haven't had a kettle chip I didn't like. Even the store brand ones are half decent. Cape Cod Potato Chips Jalapeno and Aged Chedder is where it's at.
muzz Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 You can't go wrong with Salt and Vinegar.
Cheech Tremendous Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Surely you jest! And you can't mean ALL Kettle Chips in existence, or just the brand? I fuckin' love the brand. This one is the one I mentioned earlier: YUM. The vinegar makes it tangy. The Kettle Chips plant is located about a block from my office. Imagine trying to avoid those chips when you smell them every single day. I probably go through a bag of the Salt & Vinegars every week.
Darthtiki Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I like their Spicy Thai but I find that their Salt & Vinegar can be almost too much sometimes.
Nighthawk Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I like those Hawaiian chips. I can't remember the brand name, but Spicy Maui Onion is one of the flavors. I'm actually not even sure if they're kettle chips, but they're crunchy like they are.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I think I know what Milky is talking about. Yes, they're kettle chips, at least I always see them with all the other ones. I picked this one up tonight: Actually kind of bland. Sea Salt/Vinegar is better anyways.
King Kamala Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I've tried that one before. You're right, it's OK but nothing special. I'm really stumped on what the name of the brand of chips that makes Spicy Maui Onion is. I've had them before and they were quite good. I think they're mostly found in health food stores around here but you can find them in the rare convenience store. If only I remembered the name.
Darthtiki Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 They used to be made by granny goose, but now I have no idea. The Maui Onion ones are the shit and the barbecue is actually the best barbecue chip I've had.
fazzle Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 I do, in fact, mean ALL kettle chips. They're just fucking disgusting. I did actually have one kind of kettle chip that I liked once. I just can't remember what it was.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Oh, and I got some of those Hawaiian chips I mentioned earlier. The brand is... Hawaiian. They're actually made by Tim's. Maui Onion: http://www.timschips.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?...gory_Code=HAWPC and the BBQ: http://www.timschips.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?...gory_Code=HAWPC
King Kamala Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 I got a bag of the new Honey Dijon Cape Cod potato chips. A pretty solid chip but I think the two originals (plain and Sea Salt and Vinegar) are the two best kind of Cape Cod chips. I also really like the Aged Cheddar and Jalepeno kind. They also had a new Ranch kind that I might try later.
