Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 The dude that Jackson himself admitted he lost the decison to? Never heard him say that, but I personally thought he got the desicion, close fight though.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 Rampage later recanted that statement after watching the fight, saying he thought he won. I also watched the Japanese version and without the biased English commentary, it's pretty clear Jackson won. Still, getting knocked out in spectacular fashion 3 times as well as stating that there would be no point in getting in the ring with Wanderlei again due to two of those KO's shows his heart is lacking, and that he will never be a top fighter again. After that fight him and Chuck went on very different paths, and a rematch would be pretty tough to stomach for Rampage fans, since as of this point his only saving grace is that "he made Chuck his bitch". Not pinpointing what Evander said, but most PRIDE Nuthuggers hug this line very much.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Shame that people will only remember Rampage for the Chuck fight. I don't think it's that his heart is lacking, I think he just lacks that killer instinct he use to have, because he doesn't have that "gangsta" in him no more, and he's became more of a religious person. But who knows, I think that the Lindland fight will determine how much Rampage has left in his tank.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 21, 2006 I think most people aren't going to remember that as much as some of the pummelings he's had at the hands of Wand. Him getting kneed, falling to the ropes, and seeing the blood run away from his face like it had just been shit on comes to mind.
AmericanDragon 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Sorry, I should have said "Cut through him like a hot knife through butter." I just pointed out a fact. How would you like it if everyone went around saying that Rampage knocked out Chuck?
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Jeez it was just a minor flub. You're really nitpicking here. I wouldn't really care if people said that, wouldn't be far from the truth. Rampage technically was knocked out by Shogun, so I'm not really that wrong.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Whatever happened to that big loser Wes Simms? Did he realize he sucks and has no business in the octagon?

KingPK 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 There had to be one of the most pointless MMA "debates" ever on O'Reilly tonight. Dana White and Rich Franklin were the guests and all three guys just didn't look like they wanted to be there. Bill was pretty much harping on Muhammed Ali's disease that he says was caused by boxing and Dana kept repeating that nobody has been seriously injured or killed in the UFC. That was the whole segment.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Rampage will be back, fuck all the haters In other news, some interesting names have been released for the K-1 LHWGP (185). Some very interesting names, although Lei will probably refute that statement and say everyone on the list is a bum or washed up but I digress You can check it out here. Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 I'm interested in what BJ Penn will do. So I guess Carlos won't fight in the UFC this year?
Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Some very interesting names, although Lei will probably refute that statement and say everyone on the list is a bum or washed up but I digress Well, common. You're practically begging me to rip this list apart: Yoshihiro Akiyama - Promising Judoka, but hasn't really stepped up much in terms of competition. Kazushi Sakuraba - Old & overrated. However, has enough skill left that he should still do well in this field. Melvin Manoef - Promising, though still very limited. Carlos Newton - Never-was at middleweight, coming back from a long bout of inactivity. Rodrigo Gracie - Good, but not a true middleweight, and a draw with Monma raises a lot of questions. Kestutis Smirnovas - So-so, having lost to his best competition. Shungo Oyama - I love Shungo, and actually think he could do well against guys his own size. Needs to get a real team and refine his game, though. B.J. Penn - Tentative at best, though he has the skills to beat most of this field. Won't mean much for legacy, though. The fields of both Bushdio WWGP's shit all over this line-up.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 So apparently Jens Pulver is back. I won't post any more until it becomes a lil more official.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Ha, you said "lil". Would normally mean nothing, but the UFC LW division is run by FW so he'd feel right at home.
Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Pulver's chances in UFC's LW division are even worse than in PBushido; he's not going to be a champion in either, but UFC has a distinct lack of TAISHOs & Kenji Arais.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2006 Anyone hear of Antonio Silva? From what I hear he is the best HW prospect out there today. He is 6-0 and has a victory over Tom Erikson. He also trains in the same gym as TUF3 LHW winner, Michael Bisping. People are already saying he will be the biggest thread to Fedor in a couple years, granted Fedor doesn't retire.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2006 Don't buy the hype, people will overhype anyone in the HW division since it's so lacklustre. Fedor KO's him in the first round, now, in two years, in ten years.
Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2006 He hasn't done much more than Edson "Crazy Motherfucker" Drago, and if you still consider Vera a prospect, he blows both out of the water.
