Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 First projected buys for Henderson vs. Franklin are at 320,000. For comparison, the Royal Rumble domestic buys are at 268,000 domestic. For a 3pm EST PPV, headlined by Henderson (unproven draw) and Franklin (minor draw at best), that's a very good number. Source: WON.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 A couple of possible reasons: - Although against mostly inferior competition, Machida has generally looked more dominant than Rashad, who in his last bout was looking troubled by Forrest before smashing him. - Against their three common opponents, Machida dominated Tito while Rashad got a draw on a foul; Machida dominated Hoger while Rashad took a closer JD while taking his lumps; and Machida stopped Bonnar on a cut while Rashad took a JD. Plus, plenty of people think Machida has the style to frustrate Rashad or almost anybody else, really. Oh, I know all of this. I didn't think Rashad would be a huge favorite but a favorite none the less. Rashad typically does well as an underdog and Jacksons is "my team" were I to have one but I see Machida diggin' in that ass and tooling Rashad en route to a 5 round UD or late stoppage. HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 I hate seeing undefeated streaks come to an end. No matter who it is. Except for Thiago Silva. That's what you get for trying to act like a bad ass.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Congrats to former adult star Jenna Jameson, who just gave birth to healthy twin boys at a Newport Beach hospital, reports AVN. Jenna and her UFC champ boyfriend Tito Ortiz announced her pregnancy back last September (08) gushing about the news on her Myspace Celebrity blog. "I can’t even express the extreme serenity that came over me once I saw my children inside me," she wrote on her blog. "It has been my dream to have children for an extremely long time, and I truly feel like finally, the time is right and God has blessed me. I have never felt more like a woman, or more alive. "Tito is happier than I have ever seen him, it is so fulfilling to see him so proud. He looked me in the eye today after our doctors appointmet and said, 'I'm the luckiest man on earth...thank you for having my babies.' I cried." No word on what they've named the boys, but we're hoping it's something semi-normal. Congrats! http://www.hollyscoop.com/jenna-jameson/je...wins_19610.aspx

Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Sounds about right. Input wise, it'll probably be a step back from the PRIDE game, as your moves will either be pre-selected or limited to those within your styles.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Hopefully Denis Stojnic is the guy you get to practice on during career mode.

Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Breen laid down some good arguments on the sporting vs. entertainment aspects of MMA early in his radio show today. Worth a listen, IMO, seeing as how that's been a discussion here before.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Sounds about right. Input wise, it'll probably be a step back from the PRIDE game, as your moves will either be pre-selected or limited to those within your styles. It's like all the other UFC games I played. Can't choose moves, have to train over a career mode and 5 or 6 different styles to earn your moveset

BruteSquad_BRODY 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 So Lashley PPV feed? Anybody? Square Ring Promotions Has Technological Web in Place To Stop Internet Piracy for Tonight’s event Pensacola, FL (March 21, 2009) – Roy Jones Jr., Eight-Time World Champion, returns to Pensacola to fight for the first time since January 1999 when he battles Omar Sheika at the Pensacola Civic Center tonight (Saturday, March 21, 2009). The fight card, which includes a bevy of Mixed Martial Arts stars headlined by Roy “Big Country” Nelson against Jeff “Snowman” Monson, will also feature a cruiserweight match-up between undefeated B.J. Flores against Jose Luis Herrera. This hybrid event is promoted by Square Ring Promotions in association with Hirsch Borao Boxing and the Pensacola Civic Center and will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. Square Ring Promotions intends to prosecute to the fullest extent of our legal rights Internet piracy and have engaged a firm in the United Kingdom that has the technology to track server and P2P pirates. This technology also permits Square Ring Promotions to identify individual ISP addresses of persons who have illegally pirated the event right into their own homes. We have also engaged a firm of specialist piracy attorneys who intend to pursue our legal remedies, at law and in equity, against these pirates. With a retail price of $29.95 in the US and Canada and $9.95 in other countries on Maxboxing.com and Secondsout.com, it will now simply not be worth the risk of pirating this Event on the Internet. We fully intend to go after the companies that aid and abet this type of piracy.
