Darthtiki Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Kindred: The Embraced Granted after re-watching several years after it's short run, the dialogue is bad the premise was kinda neat.
Craig Th Posted July 28, 2008 Author Report Posted July 28, 2008 For Jebus Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
C Dubya 04 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 My round 16 and 17 picks: Coach. Fun show. And since someone took Wings (shakes fist), I needed to have the other show that I watched repeatedly on reruns on USA network during the morning. Second pick: Xena Warrior Princess. Decent enough action show, and lesbian overtones throughout! Win Win.
the pinjockey Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Round 18 pick: Parker Lewis Can't Lose
Mecha Mummy Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I'm still indecisive over one of my two allotted picks, but much to my surprise I'm going right on back to the Nickelodeon vault for the next one. The Angry Beavers Possibly the most underrated Nicktoon of all time. It was one of the last ones during the classic period to have the sort of humor that could appeal to a wide age range, and whilst I was tempted to go with Invader ZIM to fill the role the Beavers are filling, there's way more material here and the humor's a lot less "hey let's be random for the sake of being random."
Youth N Asia Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Round 18 pick: Parker Lewis Can't Lose Shit yeah, dude. I love that show. My 18th round pick The Jack of All Trades. Some Bruce Campbell goodness
Nighthawk Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 17 18 The List... I couldn't find a picture to represent the List, so this is VH1's The List.
Mecha Mummy Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Boston Legal I'm still perplexed as to why the Emmy's love it so much since from my experience watching the first season and a little bit of the second it's an incredibly flawed show, but fuck it. It has Denny Crane, and Denny Crane is fantastic.
Craig Th Posted July 30, 2008 Author Report Posted July 30, 2008 Sorry, guys, I haven't had a chance to update the list. I'll do it tomorrow after work. My pick: Around the Horn
BlackFlagg Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Almost forgot about this but Youth's last pick reminded me... The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Because I too need some Campbell goodness,
CanadianChris Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Round 19: The Job It is absolutely criminal how this show got jerked around. Dark and funny -- exactly what you expect out of Denis Leary.
C Dubya 04 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Having Around the Horn on the Island would inspire me to try and swim for safety. Good pick.
Youth N Asia Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Round 19 for me. An all time favorite of mine, but figured I could hold off till the (near) end to scoop it up Jeremiah. Loved this show, too bad Showtime jerked it around so bad in season 2 that it didn't stand a chance to run a third
Craig Th Posted July 30, 2008 Author Report Posted July 30, 2008 True Life Other than the RW/RR stuff, it's the only show I'll watch on MTV these days.
BlackFlagg Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 dang, 18 minutes till the final round begins....I just don't know what to make my final pick yet though...
Youth N Asia Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 I'm stuck between like 5 shows for my final. I'll wait a few and see if anyone makes it any easier for me How long should we wait before making it 100% wrapped up? Maybe give today plus one more for people to get all in?
