BlackFlagg Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Gosunkugi has 2 hours left than C Dub is up
Mecha Mummy Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 The Addams Family John Astin and Carolyn Jones. Best classic sitcom parents ever? I think so.
C Dubya 04 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 I'm going with Murphy Brown. Really thought this show was a well written comedy. A well acted show as well. Held up okay and fulfills the estrogen requirements for my tv....
BlackFlagg Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 maybe to keep this rolling and get to round 16 we should drop the time to pick to 6 hours, especially since 3 of the remaining five in this round have missed their last picks<last 2 picks in Jorge and Repo's case> in which case gwil has an hour and a half left then Jorge is up
Craig Th Posted July 25, 2008 Author Report Posted July 25, 2008 Yeah, some people are way behind here.
Craig Th Posted July 25, 2008 Author Report Posted July 25, 2008 Actually, if you don't post a TV show in the first 24 hours, then you're out? I mean for the guys who are way behind, ie Repo.
BlackFlagg Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 well either way, going by the 6 hour rule both gwil and jorge's times are up so Youth is on deck
Youth N Asia Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Round 15 pick: Spin City The Charlie episodes weren't great, but the shows with MJF were great. Show I completely forgot about till yesterday.
BlackFlagg Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Alfred Hitchcock Presents Will go nicely with Twilight Zone.
BlackFlagg Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 American Dad Already have Family Guy, might as well nab Seth's other show too and that pick starts off Round 16, so everyone has till midnight to make their picks
Nighthawk Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 E True Hollywood Story Compliments Behind the Music nicely.
the pinjockey Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Round 16 would start at midnight going by the earlier plan. Let's say that round 15 was concluded today, so then round 16 would start at midnight and run till Midnight.
Nighthawk Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Well, I'm sticking with that pick, so you guys can go to hell.
Craig Th Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 You only get to pick on Flagg. Even you have to wait until Midnight to pick something else.
Youth N Asia Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 I guess that'll count as Flagg's round 16 pick. Rats can have THWS for all I care
BlackFlagg Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 my bad, thought we were just starting right off
Youth N Asia Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 no worries, wonder if anyone's gonna snipe midnight
Mecha Mummy Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Round 15 pick: Spin City The Charlie episodes weren't great, but the shows with MJF were great. Show I completely forgot about till yesterday. Son of a bitch, that was my next pick.
Mecha Mummy Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 I thought it was sort of in that "show people liked but didn't quite remember" gap that would have made it last at least one more round. Ah well.
Youth N Asia Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 well, past midnight, round 16 The Pretender. I loved this show for a while, then kinds forgot about it
CanadianChris Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Damn, that was MY next pick. I'll go with: Family Ties
BlackFlagg Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Now that it's the actual time I'll repick my round 16 choice to make it official American Dad
Canadian Brandon Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Oh yeah...drafts. Anyways how many picks do I need to make up? 2? Ok... time for some childhood cartoons. Doug The Nick version, not the shitty Disney version. I own every episode on dvd and I watch them regularly.
Canadian Brandon Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Masters of Horror I really enjoy this series. There are a few gems in these mini-movies.
Mecha Mummy Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 ... ah, why the hell not. Avatar: the Last Airbender With the exceptions of the already-taken Timm DC Universe cartoons, I cannot think of a single American action cartoon that hit the level of pure quality that Avatar somehow managed, despite the limitations of being on Nickelodeon in the present decade and having to deal with the knee-jerk "pseudo-anime" reaction that pretty much any Western series taking inspiration from that style has to suffer from. Plus, the voice cast is fucking amazing, with the likes of Jason Isaacs and Daniel Dae Kim in minor roles. Really, it's infinitely better than it probably should seemingly have any right to be, and even though nobody else would probably ever pick it I still pretty much have to get it for my island.
Youth N Asia Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Masters of Horror I really enjoy this series. There are a few gems in these mini-movies. Some goodies here, but some real crappers as well
Craig Th Posted July 27, 2008 Author Report Posted July 27, 2008 Yes, Dear It filled the 4-5 void for me when I was at school.
