I guess I'm not really surprised by anything there.

It boggles my mind that there's 40 million dollars worth of Adam Sandler fans left out there...but then I did read some pretty positive reviews of the movie so maybe it's better than it looks in the previews.

I called the massive drop in SATC last week. 65% is right where I figured that movie would end up after all the hardcore fans got their fix.

Everyone called that I believe. Everyone that wanted to see it saw it opening weekend

Good reviews? It has a 36% rating at RottenTomatoes.

And every AS movie is going to get at least 100 million.

36% is pretty good considering how wretched that movie looks. Sandler has had lower rated movies then that and they did well, no reason that Zohan wouldn't.

As stupid as the concept of Zohan is, the script was cowritten by Judd Apatow and Robert Smigel. Even the crappiest car might run a little better when you put premium gas in it.

Adam, Judd and Smigel wrote the movie all the way back in 2000 before Judd was a big name (still doing TV at the time, Undeclared I think) It was going to be filmed in 2001/2002 but 9/11 happened and it was delayed nearly 7 years.

Sandler's real life personal barber was once in the Israeli army which is where the idea for the movie came from

The Strangers still looks to be holding up fairly well. I saw it Saturday, and I liked it. I was refreshing to see the majority of the theatre on edge during the movie, and not the 8-10 pussy women who are scared of everything.

May see Zohan in the next few weeks.

I saw Zohan last night expecting NOTHING from it and thought it was hysterical. Sometimes I just need a dumb movie to make me laugh.
