EL BRUJ0 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 this is a thing that amuses me. it's flattering to know that people take the effort to hate on me. I gotta say that it does make me happy to post stupid shit and almost immediately be made fun of for it. And there's not even a hint of sarcasm there. It's amusing to me. that's how them Massachusites roll...
Slayer Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 It's a good thing they aren't also Boston sports fans... that'd kick them into levels unheard of
Maztinho Posted September 24, 2008 Author Report Posted September 24, 2008 Pre-school or Kindergarten tours through the store. Every little stupid thing enthralls the kids. "This is where we cut the fruit for the bowls." "WHOAAAA!" Also inevitably one of them stares up at me and goes, "You're big." And I just respond, "I'm normal sized, you are just small."
Maztinho Posted September 25, 2008 Author Report Posted September 25, 2008 Little kids being overjoyed at Bananas though, I mean, I wish I was more child-like in that way. One of the little girls was like hoping up and down because she could see the boxes bananas came from. Actually I think I really have an odd perspective on height, I always have, because my father's side of the family are all quite tall, so at family reunions I'm actually on the shorter end of the spectrum when most of my cousins are like 6'8"- 6'10". Out of the males I'm the third shortest. So I never have considered myself "tall"
Nighthawk Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 At 6'2", I never considered myself tall either, but most people actually are shorter than me.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Christ, I see those things almost every day at work. I've become pretty immune to them. The picture posted is around a 4 on a 1-10 scale of awfulness.
BruteSquad_BRODY Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 REVENGE! Read the Bruiser Brody Thread to see why God's karma came through for me today!

Lord of The Curry Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Close, pedorthist so registered to deal with orthopedic footwear. Bunions are bad but hammer toes are the absolute worst. Goddamn feet can look like lobster claws.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 How does one get into a career in feet?
Lord of The Curry Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I was out of work and needed a job. The place is super-close to my home, good hours and the comission is excellent. In fact I just got done making orthotics for likely the most drop-dead gorgeous woman I've seen in my life. It sure as hell beats doing outbound phone work for the biggest bank in Canada where my job basically consisted of getting shit on all day.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 So, so far LOTC has worked as a porn clerk, in a call center, and as a foot man. Interesting career choices.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 It was a video store with a porn section but yeah, it's more fun telling people that I was a porn store clerk. The blogs I did are still archived in LSD and some of them still make me laugh. I really have no clue what I want to do with my careers. Ideally it'd be working for a Mixed Martial Arts promotion or writing about it but it's not legal in Ontario so the market is tiny and difficult to penetrate.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Sounds more like something he said than she said.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Is it still cool to tell Kinetic "Way to hit one out of the park?"
Kinetic Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Yeah, but this feels more like a ground-rule double, to tell you the truth.
The Niggardly King Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 More like an overturned home run off of instant replay.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I eagerly await the day Kinetic hits the foul pole.
Red Baron Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Would he wave the ball to try and stay fair?
Smartly Pretty Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Monkey Man just grounded out 6-3.
Red Baron Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 I don't run that fast, so I'm sure they lobbed the ball to first.
godthedog Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 i picked up a sunday new york times this morning, and then watched '60 minutes' tonight. i feel really smart and cosmopolitan.
