Kahran Ramsus Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 I would have loved Russell Crowe, so I will have to go with Plan B. Liam Neeson I'll also grab my second director. Peter Jackson
Ravenbomb Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 I'll give the directors a rest and pick my favorite actress still available. Monica Bellucci. She's good in cheesy action stuff like Shoot 'Em Up, and in serious artsy stuff like Irreversible.
RonL21 Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Surprised she's lasted this long Julia Roberts
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 5, 2008 Author Report Posted September 5, 2008 Fuck Julia Roberts, I would never pick that stupid cunt... Forrest Whitaker I won't have enough time today or tomorrow to update the front page, so I'll do it on Saturday morning... If you all can get a mod to do it for me, I won't mind. Just feel I'd let yall know.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Eddie Murphy In his prime, one of the funniest people to ever perform.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I was thinking about taking Eddie Murphy. Good choice. I pick um...Jamie Foxx.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 For my fifth round selection: Kevin Spacey "I've gone and done it again."
BlackFlagg Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 with Murphy taken I'm gonna go with one of my favorite comedic actors... Bill Murray
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 with Murphy taken I'm gonna go with one of my favorite comedic actors... Bill Murray I should be receiving Quick Change from Netflix today.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Another actor: Sean Connery Someone to give whatever role I hand him a quiet sense of dignity.
Exslade ZX Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Might be different if we weren't doing the make a movie thing, but I've got a role in mind, and he'd be perfect for it. Helps he's not a bad actor either. Laurence Fishburne
Mecha Mummy Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 ... shit, right. Hi guys, how's it going. Sidney Lumet Directed some of my favorite movies of all time (12 Angry Men, Network) and I want one awesome American director of drama/crime stuff before it's too late. Aaaaand... Kevin Smith He's got flaws, but he's never made a movie I outright disliked (though Jersey Girl I was just barely above indifferent on, which is still probably better than most felt about it), and I'd like to get someone who can do comedy before I probably focus on actors for my next two picks.
Nighthawk Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Good writer, bad director. Smith, I mean.
Mecha Mummy Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I've never really had a problem with Smith as a director, though yeah, I didn't really consider the writer/director distinction (which was why I'm ultimately passing on Michel Gondry, who was another one I considered; his best film was more because of Charlie Kaufman, who isn't worth drafting because the only film he's ever directed hasn't even come out yet).
BlackFlagg Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 yeah, Smith is a much better writer than director, but hell, even he'll tell you that.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 6, 2008 Author Report Posted September 6, 2008 I forgot I have to draft for Obi Chris... Here are his two picks Danny Boyle Meg Ryan
Obi Chris Kenobi Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Reet back from Holiday, ready to take over the reigns, thanks for posting EHME!
Mecha Mummy Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 -- shit, I had another round? Man, I really shouldn't have joined a draft just prior to school getting back in. Er uh anyway... Philip Seymour Hoffman Incredibly versatile, just as good at comedic roles as he is dramatic, and has worked with Lumet before. Natalie Portman A talented actress with a fairly diverse filmography who, Star Wars prequels aside, I tend to enjoy in everything she does.
Exslade ZX Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 *See info for last pick Anthony Anderson
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Second director pick for me: John Ford
Obi Chris Kenobi Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Philip Seymour Hoffman Incredibly versatile, just as good at comedic roles as he is dramatic, and has worked with Lumet before. Great selection, he was going to be one of my next picks on my newly reordered draft list!
BlackFlagg Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 for my next pick I'm gonna pair Murray with one of my fav comedy directors... Mel Brooks
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 For my next selection, I shall acquire the services of... Peter Sellers I am in need of a performer with the unique sense of humor and unrivaled comic timing that this man brings to the table. I seriously consider him to be a steal this early on.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 I'll pick Keanu Reeves.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Controversy or not, one of the most charming and likeable (and bankable) leading men in Hollywood. He's also capable of doing nay kind of movie, ranging from action to comedy to drama: Mel Gibson
