Ted the Poster Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 The Panthers have started off well the last two years, only to unravel come November This year will not likely vary from that Unravelling and losing your star player are different things.
Guest דניא Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 speaking of the NBC show, it's nice that they brought back the extended highlight reels this year, since last year they seemed to have maybe five seconds of footage per game because it took away from Olbermann talking about whatthefuckever... but, really, how many talking heads does this show need I'm covering this in Media/Announcing thread!
Slayer Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 45 minutes into both the FOX and NBC highlight shows and I still have yet to see the Carolina play that I missed
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 I bet you've heard a lot about Brady and Favre though.
RepoMan Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 NBC reports Brady season is threatened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Que the winning the divison hype in Western New York.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 ha. We don't think that way. We haven't been to the playoffs in a decade. What I expect is over the top bravado from the Jets with Favre.

bob_barron Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I think the Brady thing deserves its own thread
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I think the Brady thing deserves its own thread Agreed. Someone feel free to start one.

Slayer Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I drove by the new Colts stadium on my way home from my wedding earlier this summer, and my god was it a gaudy looking facility... and the top down view from this broadcast reveals even more. It's a fuckin barn/warehouse with a tin roof which, of course, also makes it a perfect fit for Indiana
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Briggs limps off on the second play of the game. Good god.

Guest דניא Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Oh good, I hope the Bears got rid of their navy blue pants. I like the all white. Lovie doesn't look like such a defensive genius with his Tampa 2 now that there's no secondary of any value, now does he. Bend but don't break. They're bending a lot so far.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Challenge it Lovie, you worthless sack of shit!
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 YES! That'll be a damn fumble.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I ask myself this quite often when watching the Bears. WHY IN THE HELL, do they not just line Hester up at WR, and have him haul ass down the sideline on a go route? He's faster than anyone on the field!
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Because Lovie Smith feels that someone will eventually stop that. Best not start that process.
Guest Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Reggie Bush actually played like USC Reggie Bush. Well I'll be damned. The mancrush will never go away.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I'm going to write a letter to Ron Turner, pretending to be a sick child, wanting only to see my favorite player and hero, Devin Hester, catch a touchdown on a go-route down the weak sideline. In crayon.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Too early to tell but Bears might have found that running back in Matt Forte.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Oh yeah, he's looking great. The O-line isn't making me sob, either. Gawd, Sanders just tried to kill both Forte and himself with that shot. If Bob Sanders has a career spanning..eight seasons, I'll be amazed.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 No huddle Bears! Goin' to the Ort-Gun!
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 As much as I like what the Bears are doing, I'm just still waiting for the other shoe to drop and Peyton Manning to remember just exactly who he is.
Zetterberg is God Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 This is going too well for the Bears.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Like now, the normal Peyton would have hit up Clark or Gonzalez for 11 yards and out of that spot. I like this Peyton though. Go Bears.
