For mass consumption the masses may consider Hogan greater than Flair, so Flair counters by saying it's Austin. Hogan came on top with their most publicized encounters and Flair left his league to go to Hogan's league and vice versa happened with Hogan becoming top dog in his league, while that didn't happen when Flair jumped to Hogan's company. Flair said that for a reason at the HOF(plus Hogan wasn't there)
