DrVenkman PhD Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 The stars of World Wrestling Entertainment unleash their mayhem (Pro Wrestling).
ChrisMWaters Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Why when I hear the word "Mayhem" and wrestling I think of either A)Gorilla Monsoon commentary or 2)What I think was the second to last WCW Video Game, WCW Mayhem?
TheFranchise Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 WCW Mayhem was awesome. "EA's first attempt at a WCW game is no short of a success." GameFAQ were certainly wide of the mark with this review. Edit: More goodness from that review: Some of these are Sergeant Buddy Lee Parker, Eric Bischoph, and Mean Jean Okerland. Overall, the roster for WCW Mayhem is very complete and well done.
Chazz Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 They must be still writing the show as we speak. Glad I'm going to see "Quarantine" tonight instead.
2GOLD Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 The "Did you know?" is becoming the only thing I look forward too each week. Hopefully this RAW will lift itself above the rampant suck it has been the weeks leading UP to this throw away PPV.
foleyfanforever88 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I'm hoping (but not expecting) to see Punk/Kofi/Cryme Tyme/Noble/Mickie vs Priceless/Miz/Morrison/Regal/Layla tonight.
Diamonddust Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Who thought this would be a hot opener?
foleyfanforever88 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I hate the fact that Katie had to come out with Jillian instead of getting her own entrance.
fazzle Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Has the "Burchill" been dropped from Katie Lea's name? Chyron, Lillian, and Cole all just called her "Katie Lea"
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Has the "Burchill" been dropped from Katie Lea's name? Chyron, Lillian, and Cole all just called her "Katie Lea" They like to have Divas have one name often...like how they dropped Neidhart from Natalya.
fazzle Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Was she ever known as Natalya Neidhart on WWE TV though? The dropping of the Burchill makes me think Paul is next to be released.
haws bah gawd Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 While she has improved by leaps and bounds, does it bother anyone else that the backflip spot has to be worked into every single match of hers? I know it's a signature spot of hers, but I find it hard to suspend disbelief enough to think that no other diva has picked up on "hey, if I catch her foot and pull it upwards, she is liable to backflip them clothesline me".
haws bah gawd Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Was she ever known as Natalya Neidhart on WWE TV though? The dropping of the Burchill makes me think Paul is next to be released. I know they mention that she is a second-generation superstar/Diva, but I don't know if they have outright said she is the daughter of Jim Neidhart.
foleyfanforever88 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Was she ever known as Natalya Neidhart on WWE TV though? The dropping of the Burchill makes me think Paul is next to be released. I've heard them mention Natalya's last name within the past 4 weeks or so.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Was she ever known as Natalya Neidhart on WWE TV though? I think she was in her second appearance (her first was a run in attack helping Victoria)
haws bah gawd Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Does it look to anyone else like Chris Jericho is carrying around a shiny new World Championship? The strap and plates all look a lot shinier than usual.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Does it look to anyone else like Chris Jericho is carrying around a shiny new World Championship? The strap and plates all look a lot shinier than usual. Maybe they just polished them.
JPopStarKami Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Is it bad that I forgot who Jericho was facing on Sunday til now?
haws bah gawd Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Batista has had so many (failed) title shots, I've gotten to where I more or less expect him to be in the title match at every ppv.
Diamonddust Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Gauntlet match? Brings back good memories of when WCW used to have a guy "run the gauntlet" on the weekend shows. They'd start on the Power Hour, go to World Championship Wrestling, and then try to finish up on the Main Event. I always thought it was a good way to build up intrigue and make the shows seem a little important.
foleyfanforever88 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 So three men are going to have to face Jericho and Batista in the same night? That sounds fair to them.. EDIT: WWE.com makes it sound like the gauntlet is just one match..I don't get it. Punk/Kofi vs Miz/Morrison should be fun.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Am I only one who misses how JBL would act when he was WWE Champion? You know, doing the two step to the ring and stuff like that?
fazzle Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Haastin 3:16? So...has Charlie moved up the card, or has JBL moved down?
The Amazing Rando Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I like that he did the pause and stare to JBL in the middle of the ring before going to the first corner.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 You know, this reminds me... I'm kinda surprised that Austin hasn't appeared on Raw for choice of voting.
foleyfanforever88 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Haastin starting off with the Lou Thesz press was awesome.
The Amazing Rando Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 JBL sort of looks like Dalton Humphrey from the Red Green Show
ChrisMWaters Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 The Gillette Fusion commercial reminds me. That idea that some of you here had with Vince having amnesia and thinking it was pre-Montreal again, thus becoming a play-by-play announcer? A friend of mine thinks that the thing where the sign fell on him would be the perfect set-up for that.
