Dark Age

A thread for me - ME! - to ask Milky a bunch of questions

Recommended Posts

Has there ever been a movie that made you feel uneasy or uncomfortable watching it-and not a porno.

Funny you should ask. The answer is yes: The Dentist starring Corbin Bernsen. (Funny because I was just getting ready to watch it right now). Like a lot of people, I get a bit squeamish with things being done to teeth, and that movie is just stuff being done to teeth non-stop.

Incidentally, just last night I watched Midnight Meat Train (and no, that's not a porn), and cringed a bit during the removal of teeth, fingernails and eyes (all sensitive subjects for many people... the filmmakers knew what they were doing there.)

Some Larry Clark and Harmony Korine movies can make me uncomfortable by being too easy to relate to, particularly Bully and Gummo.

At the moment, I'd say either Aftermath or Cannibal. Most other movies I can sit through easily (Cannibal Holocaust is a cakewalk for me), but those got to me.

Have you ever seen May? If so, what did you think of it? That movie made me feel uneasy, but not for grossout reasons.

I haven't, no, but I am familiar with it and it's been on my list of movies to see for a while. I'll bump it up my netflix queue.

What kind of pajamas did you have as a kid?

Good question. I had Batman, Superman and Spider-Man pajamas. They were the kind that just looked like a facsimile of the respective costumes, more or less. They were frequently for everyday wear, too.

There's a classic home video of me at around 4 or 5 years old, running around Show Biz Pizza (like Chuck E. Cheese) in Atlanta, in Batman pajamas, and this girl keeps chasing me and kissing me and trying to pull the pajama bottoms down. I seem bothered by this, but have an obvious erection.

I thought it was a pretty good film

"May" is awesome. The fact Angela Bettis isn't a bigger star is a travesty.

Do you fear death?

Never have, never will. No afterlife, nothing to fear. Infinity is bliss.

(I saw your old question, too, but I imagine you found that out on your own.)

This probably sounds stupid but have you ever fucked a tranny?

I haven't! I always wanted to, but the opportunity never came up. I almost did, I was sort of pursuing one, but this was a very pretentious tranny. Very new age and shit. Fuck that (or actually don't fuck that, as it were). A tranny and a midget were probably at the top of my list of people to do. Were I ever to fuck a tranny midget, I suppose that would be like Freddy Krueger and Clint Eastwood flying in on pterodactyls and high fiving, exploding the world.

What's the best compliment you've ever received?

It's one I've heard a few times, which goes something like "You're one of/the nicest/sweetest people I've ever met." This is meaningful to me because it's one of my qualities which surprises some people. Most of my other awesome traits are to be expected.

While not a direct compliment, our own Amazing Rando writing a fucking novel about me ranks highly as well.

What would you do with three wishes?

Easy. Omnipotence, omniscience, immortality. Though once I have omnipotence, I don't need the other two.

As a bonus, here is the answer to this question I gave in the first grade: an infinite supply of chicken nuggets, a trained Tyrannosaurus, and to never have to go to the bathroom again.

A trained t-rex would be cool but a handful to take care. A trained velociraptor on the other hand would be small enough to contain within a large backyard/holding pen and big enough to fuck up any land mammal that walks this earth.

I don't think immortality and omniscience would go well together anyways. Wouldn't it be kind of boring to have eternal life if you already know everything there is to know?

Not a question but I'd like to read your thoughts on Charles Manson. I think I remember you saying something on enjoying his music.

Manson is a fascinating individual for several reasons.

1) He's an example of someone being raised by the system. He had spent most of his life in institutions before the business with Spahn ranch and all that, and obviously all of his life since then. He's a textbook example of the lifelong inmate, which is interesting.

2) It's an amazing example of someone being in the right place at the right time. Manson is just some crazy idiot, and not unique crazy, he's really no different from hundreds of people, many of whom you've probably met. But by being placed in the time and place he was, he becomes a messianic figure to this day. The funny thing is, he knows this. He really doesn't deny it. Some of his correspondents and biographers will say this about him, that he's nothing special, and he'll laugh and agree. He's just Charlie.

3) The cult of personality he's inspired is fascinating as all cults of personalities are.

4) I do enjoy his music. That's actually an indication of the time period. Back then, some crazy street dweller who wrote songs, he could be crashing on the Beach Boys' couch. The 60s, man.

5) Manson is one of my favorite historical figures, but not in the notorious criminal category.

I always liked the idea of living out on some ranch with a bunch of naked chicks who think you're their messiah.

Who do you love most in the world? Mom? Girlfriend? GG Allin?

Well, I love all of those people, but not in the same way. I wouldn't say I love GG as much as my mom or girlfriend. Mom and girlfriend are good answers, but I wouldn't compare them. You know, it's like your children, you don't love one more than the other. Or in the same way as your parent, or uh... life partner.

I don't think immortality and omniscience would go well together anyways. Wouldn't it be kind of boring to have eternal life if you already know everything there is to know?

Well, it's just shorthand for saying I want to be God. But no, it wouldn't be boring. If you extrapolate omnipotence, if I get bored, I can just say "I declare that I will not be bored anymore." and I won't be. Or I could be selective about my knowledge as to how I access it and the like. Omnipotence, as a concept, is infinite in application.

When I come to the Bay Area, can I crash on your sofa?

We'll see. You have to be respectful, there will be no drinking or getting high... at home. Going out, with or without KOAB, is different, but I have a pretty quiet home life.
